I want to get excited about RP1 movie. I started reading RP1 when I was on vacation in Hawaii. I wish the trailers had revealed less key plot points. I feel like they're adding characters into the movie that weren't in the book like Iron Giant. Will watch the movie and hope I like it, but still on the fence about it.

Definitely don't blame you there. Still hoping to squeeze in a read or a listen to the book before the film drops. 😅 Judging by the mix of these responses, not sure exactly how this one's gonna shake out, but definitely hoping to enjoy it!

Will let you know what I think about Ready Player One movie. Even if it's not exactly like the book, I'm watching it anyway. When it comes to movies, Spielberg knows his shit.

I fell in love with RP1 from the first read, and have since read/listened to the audiobook at least 15 times since. Having grown up in the 80s, it really hit me in the feels, and as soon as I found out it was going to be made into a movie, it was hard to contain my excitement. I'm glad they hired Cline as a screenwriter, as that made me feel like his spirit for the book would come through in the movie. I know parts will be different already, from the first trailer (like the car race), but outside of Infinty War, this is the most anticipated movie of 2018 for me. CANNOT WAIT!!!!!

2021-07-15 05:42:15 Well, good news is, MAJORITY of early reactions & reviews have been really positive! My brother actually just went to an early screening and he loved it. So, I'm more excited for it than I was before!
