Gina is played by Sofia Wylie. She is my favorite character as well. Not to spoil anything, but Gina has chemistry with all of her potential partners. I can see her with any of them. I do really like her with who she ultimately ends up with.

Ricky was right. The rose song doesn't fit and they'd be better without it. It makes no sense in the musical. I guess he could've said it better? He was also clearly already insecure and trying not to accept the fact that it was about him, so him believing Lilly right away is just him confirming what he already was in denial of. Nini is the one confining herself. Ricky was already supportive of her. He was sad she went to YAC but was supportive even though SHE didn't tell him, he tried to include her in the play and got rejected but Ms Jen changed her mind and he didn't know that, only for her to write a song...about not liking him anymore, only to then lie that it isn't about him and gaslight him to think he's crazy when it's literally about him? And then get mad when the song is cut even though she claims she didn't want to be in the play? He also is the one who gave her the name Nini so yes, her changing her name is about him. She is the one who made him think she came back for him after YAC. She just runs away from him and the conversation and avoids breaking up with him, which is hurtful to him. I find it really hard to look at EJ and Gina and not see their age gap (22 & 16...), so it's hard for me to ship them. Especially when even in the show, he's about to graduate and she's only a sophomore. He just told his cousin he sees her as a kid and...gina is younger than her lol. If he didn't say that, i wouldn't care as much cause it's not a huge deal in reality, but with the actors ages....idk. Ricky and Gina's characters also have an age gap but it's only 3 years and less obvious. I preferred ricky and gina from the beginning of watching this show so i already personally didn't like them. Plus it always just felt like they didn't know what to do with them and just put them together.
