Definitely not a direction I expected… Greg being oddly Insightful but using it well is neat. Sophia definitely wasn’t expecting Taylor to be so ‘chill’ about things

I knew our resident eldritch horror was a kind cephalopod! I like to think that despite all that needs must have happened to Taylor, she's still mostly there and mostly able to interact with humanity. Things will get interesting if and when the issue of how much of Taylor is actually IN Taylor's human mien. If she's already ascended, keeping an avatar like this is something that others of her kind have not done (or at least no that I can recall off the top of my head in Bloodborne) and might go some ways to explain the latent family (heh) drama (?) between Taylor and the other great ones. I do wonder if Taylor like this can get pregnant and what would happen to the child. After all, in bloodborne they all tried to have children with human women with varying results (all bad, more's the pity) but it feels to me that Taylor taking a page out of scion's book is sort of gaming the system, if she's already ascended (and that's something that has been conspicously never spelled out, good call!) As for the previous chapter ending, I liked it because it lent a lot of impact to Greg's genuine good nature. I keep rooting for the guy and bits like that are exactly why :P Not knowing how the next chapter starts, I've no idea why you extended the scene (beyond the fact that the mall is completely not the place to have this discussion) but for what it's worth, in my opinion the previous ending was good but left the scene sort of hanging. This one closes it up tidily, even if Greg's little moment isn't so front and center. Good closure to the diary investigation overall; adding the Emma bits gave it the emotional punch that this would have lacked without them, since Taylor didn't mind them looking into her situation (and that reunion with younger Emma made me tear up a little, much like Owl listening to Danny did).

I've gotta say. I was getting worried as things got worse and worse. But this chapter is so full of hope and healing... Thank you
