When I created NMK I wanted to do a comic to explore lots of fetishes in roleplay and play with Prey/predator relacionship.

The plot is a about a group of friends that create fictional scenarios and stories thay they play as a sexual roleplay.

The first Twist would be that readers shouldnt know that the whole situation were a roleplay until the finish of the first chapter.

Why I choose to reveal that the whole situation was a roleplay at this point? -Because  the kinks/scenarios they explore in the stories are hard, and sometimes dark, so the readers should know that they are playing in a safe and consensual way, if not, they whole comic would turn unconfortable for me.

After the first twist were revealed, the rest of the stories of the characters would be different, but they would have a connection.

Some examples:

Squint story: Prey vs Predators

Hyena story: Prey vs Predators but they can be lovers too.

Goro + zebros's story: Prey vs Predators but they can be lovers too and they want to break they prey=weak/predator=strong dynamic.

And finally, I would reveal all the thing about the stories are coneected to make Squind and Gazelle conffess their feelings.

Also this story was created to focus in plot about sex, in opposite to Love Shogunato, where sex is just a little part of the plot.

Now, after 4 year the comic is finished and here are my final thougs.

First, the bad things:

1- the artistic choice: you can see there's a difference between the style in the firsts pages from the rest of the comic. The idea was to keep the comic style more sketchy, but make the characters look super wild and aggresive. However I couldn't escape from my own drawing style and all the characters end looking super round and cute ^^U So this is a fail for me.

2- The plot and twist revelation: I've noticed that the comic was working really good until I revealed the roleplay twist. After that, the support and numbers of readers was decreasing in each page. They are many reasons because that happened but I've noticed two main reasons:

a)- The comic was too long to keep people entertained and the scenarios were to similar.

b)- Part of the audience felt dissapointed with the roleplay twist, also from that part, all the rest of the comic felt like 'nothing matters because all is a game'

So (aside of Love Shoguanto) in the future will create shorter comics, and, if a include roleplay, it will be like they characters did In What a Twist.

3- I was forced to finish NMK before all the stories were told.

They Goro + Zebros, Buffalo and Gazelle stories were skyped. However they may come in the future as a  image series, but only if you want.

Now the good things

I had a lot of fun drawing this comic, I had wonderful people who supported it and many readers whose feedback I love! Definitely I couldn't have been drawing this comic along 4 years whithough you, and even if I couldn't draw the rest of the stories, I could give the comic the original end that I had in mind, and it feels 'complete'. so I'm happy with the result of the comic ^^

Lasts words.

Thanks again for make NMK possible. And, aside of the good time I had drawing it, I feel I learned a lot of things that I can aply in my next comics.

So can't want to start new ones!

Thanks for reading!
