SAKANA site revamp ideas (Patreon)

I put together a mockup of what I'd like to shoot for with the SAKANA site revamp! My main goal was to add more COLOR to the page, which, I know, sounds a little counterintuitive for a black and white comic, but that was one of my challenges. I picked a generally warm tan-orange-red theme to lay against the normal blue, which I'm hoping will compliment the colorless comic page rather than compete with it. 

Here's the current site to compare against: 

It's not BAD, it's just a little sterile and looks very mid-2010s to me (because it was made around 2013-14 so of COURSE it looks it like). Also, the blue colors in web design are like impossible to divorce from the 2000s aesthetic. It just needs a little 2023 spruce up and new graphics. I don't think I even have the image files for those twitter/tumblr/patreon links anymore lol. 

I just want to clarify that I have NO experience with web design or coding, these are just ideas that I sent along to the Hiveworks tech contact to get the discussion started. I'm hoping most of this is doable! 

Beyond the front page facelift, we're talking solutions for breaking all the minicomics out of the main comic (like Saturday Night and Help Wanted and the How To Sakana shorts) and putting them in their own spot for easier navigation. Right now you just have to slog through all of that to keep going in the main story, and I don't think that's ideal, especially for new readers. 

I'm also going to be redoing the cast page for the first time in maybe 10 years, so look forward to that! Hope you're as excited about these changes as I am!
