October Roundup #2 (Patreon)

October's coming to an end and UNFORTUNATELY I have no plans to dress up myself! We have a wedding to attend this weekend, so we'll be out of state for Spooky Day. BUT, we did get Gannon's drag look totally finished and BOY WAS IT AWESOME! There weren't any Halloween parties to attend but we tromped around a nearby campus and delighted a bunch of party girls out having a fun night. 

If you didn't already see on Twitter, here's how it turned out! 

Except for the shoes, tights and choker, basically everything else was assembled by hand by us, with some sewing help from Gannon's mom. Gannon styled the wig, made the claws, and sewed the leg warmers. The arms were a group effort, and are stuffed with upholstry foam that I helped glue down and shape. I specifically was in charge of horns (made from EVA foam!) and eyeballs (felt, hand-sewn sewn onto a normal black shirt we strategically tore up lol). Here's a closeup of the eyes: 

And here's us out and about! I'm pretty shy, so walking around in public was kind of like exposure therapy for me lol. 

IN OTHER NEWS: 

Actually, not a whole lot happened this October otherwise! I am truckin' away at the graphic novel project mostly! I've been penciling it digitally, and wondering what I should do for the inking stage, so I recently tried traditional inks over the digital pencils. I printed the pages out at a smaller size so they'd be quicker to finish and WOW, DID IT FEEL SUPER GOOD TO INK TRADITIONALLY AGAIN!! 

(Yes, that cherished and beloved member of this art school softball team IS wearing an ahegao shirt! And the other one's wearing furry ears and a tail! IT'S ART SCHOOL!!!) 

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do any more pinups for the $7 tier this month, but I'm hoping to get back to those next month! 

I also assembled all the new Robber/Robert keychains! Normally I just use a ball chain, but there was an error in how my order printed and they gave me the normal attachment hole instead of the custom one I normally use???? Thankfully I had a bunch of jump rings and cellphone straps lying around. 

IN OTHER OTHER NEWS: 

That damn pumpkin is STILL green, but it's getting more orange by the day! We're getting pretty low in temperature during the night here, so I'm REALLY HOPING IT MAKES IT ANOTHER FEW WEEKS. 

And finally, a Gizmo update. The temps are dropping and he's NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT! He becomes a cranky little monster the minute we hit low 60s. My horrible old man <3 

And I think that's about it! Sorry this update's pretty light on art! I'm trying to get lots of graphic novel stuff done next month so I can prepare for the Robber/Robert Kickstarter in early 2022! WISH ME LUCK.
