Doom Patrol is by far one of the best superhero shows of the 2010's/early 2020's. The comics, having essentially lived in the shadow of the more popular X-Men, have taken a route towards surrealism and post-modernism. This is translated well into the show, being rather bold and not afraid of being silly or ridiculous.

It contrasts this with a tragic portrayal of the characters themselves, all broken to some degree or another. Doom Patrol has always been about what's outside the norm, and the show adds to this element by showcasing the titular heroes as outcasts and marginalised people.

Overall, the show ends on a high note, closing the curtains in a dignified and equally tragic light. My only complaint is that it feels a bit rushed.

I will miss this masterpiece.
