Announcing the Anamills Project (Patreon)

It's a story that has been brooding about in my mind for a long time. For now, it takes a back seat to Fallen Máni and Matahouroa, but I will unveil it alongside Aethersworn.

Unlike Aethersworn, I can give you the basic world building points.

Premise

The titular Anamills are animal-mill magical cyborgs conceived by the ancient Minoans as slave labor. Anamills are formed when magical nanites invade an animal's body and give it both intelligence and a mill. Anamills are extremely hard to kill because their consciousness will be shifted to another animal of the same species upon death, thanks to a neural leyline network located in the Iberian Peninsula.

A type of Anamill, the Ornitharchs, rebelled and ended the Minoan Civilization, while the rest of Anamill kin has turned on these rebels.

Both groups have been asleep in Portugal until modern times. In Joane a girl named Angela awakens the Anamills Dog, Weasel, Thresher and Yapok. Now they fight against the Ornitharchs, whose plans are currently restricted to Portugal due to its smaller military. Gradually, Angela learn  that the Ornitharchs might not be the bad guys in this war...

Cast

Angela: Main character. A nerd and proud of it, she never wastes a second drilling the Anamils with questions, regardless of the outcome.

Dog: The leader, mostly because everyone else just entertains him. Is a solar mill, using light to operate the grinding mechanisms would produce both warm pancakes as well as molten metal disks.

Weasel: An amoral, selfish jerk who
