PHOENIXES v8 mid-update report (Patreon)

The first PHOENIXES extra chapter is now available for $10 patrons, and will be available for $5 patrons next month along with the v8 update. The chapter contained more than 200 images & animated scenes.

While working on the extra chapter, we didn't slow down the pace of the development of the v8 update. Now let's take a brief look at some of the new stuff in v8:

- Free script editing

As you know, I’m not really a good writer. The game’s text is riddled with many grammar errors and typos, both the English and the Chinese version. Many lovely people have been so kind to point out issues in the text with numerous screenshots after every update, and I really appreciate that. I’m sorry for not being able to provide you with a better reading experience, and I feel that we need to at least create a more convenient way for people who care to give feedback on text issues and even manually correct the issues that are unbearable to them.

So in v8, we will put the script files directly in the game folder of the PC&Linux version. You will be able to make any modifications you want to them and implement the edited text as a new language option in the game. Or you can just send me your version of text if you like. In fact, you can even translate the game into other languages using this method without having to unpack the game or anything.

We are also planning to start adding new language support provided by AI translators in v9. 

Due to the limitations of the Godot engine, you’ll need to do some simple yet slightly confusing steps to implement your modified texts in the game. But don’t worry, we will make a tutorial document to guide you through it.

- New interrogation option

In v8, you will finally be able to ‘capture’ Alnilam and take her to your dirty little interrogation room.

- New club level, new functional room in the club, new girl

In v8, you will be able to raise your club to level 4 and unlock the massage room in the club. The mysterious purple-haired girl will join the club and volunteer to be your massagist~

- General improvements

There are some basic functions for a visual novel that should have been implemented in the game long ago. But we literally forgot them all this time. Please forgive us. We will try to implement them in v8.

- The Auto mode

- The option to adjust the dialogue box visibility

- Peeks

Heather, Alnilam, Cassy will have new personal plots, and there will be much more to come. More information will be revealed later~
