Myst grinned when the spinning gacha wheel stopped spinning and a slender blue eyed naked lady with platinum blonde hair and very pale skin appeared. “Hi?”

“Eep!” Elsa exclaimed as she looked down and realized that she wasn’t wearing any clothes.

Willow giggled as ice rapidly formed around the young lady, creating a light blue ball gown. “I’ve got to learn to do that.”

Danielle shook her head. “I’m pretty sure you’d freeze your nipples off.”

“It helps if you’re immune to the cold,” Elsa said as she glanced around the unfamiliar town she found herself in. “Where are we?”

“You’re in Solaris,” Willow said proudly.

“It’s basically a city in a snow globe,” Myst said as he held his hand out. “I’m Myst, amateur magic user at your service.”

“I’m Elsa… You have a city in a snow globe?” Elsa asked in confusion.

“Yep!” Willow agreed cheerfully. “I’m Willow and my sister is Danielle.”

“Xander,” he introduced himself, getting a small smile and nod before she turned back to Willow.

“How did you get one?” Elsa asked Willow, fairly sure a snow globe that contained a town would be locked in a vault somewhere or hidden by an ancient magic user or monster.

Danielle pointed at Myst. “He enchanted the snow globe.”

Elsa stared at Myst. “And you call yourself an amateur?”

“I know a few tricks,” Myst admitted. “Some of them are even impressive tricks, but I’m still learning what I can do.” He made a mental note to take some time and actually study once he took care of the immediate problems.

“I’m still figuring out new tricks.” Elsa glanced around. “I don’t suppose you know how I got here?”

“One of my abilities basically conjures magical items and people,” Myst admitted. “Not sure whether it brings them here or creates them. I’m still working on figuring that out.”

“What’s the last thing you remember before ending up here?” Xander asked.

“I was hiding in bed with a book, wishing I didn’t have to deal with a collection of particularly annoying foreign dignitaries. I must have drifted off because I remember watching myself get out of bed then I ended up here,” Elsa replied. “Anna is going to be annoyed that she didn’t get to come with me… if I’m me, I mean.”

“Girlfriend?” Myst asked ‘innocently’, thinking about the various drawings he’d seen shipping Elsa and Anna.

Elsa shook her head. “Younger sister. So, I’ll admit to needing a bit of a vacation but how do I get back?”

“The first step is scrying on your sister and trying to figure out how far away your world is,” Myst suggested. “Once we know that, we should be able to teleport a magical cabinet there which should let you go home, at least in theory.”

“If nothing else, Zatanna can probably get a message to your sister so she doesn’t worry,” Danielle said thoughtfully.

“That would be helpful,” Elsa agreed, worried that her sister would think she took off, again.

Myst bought the Shield wheel and turned to look at Willow. “I’ll find Zatanna or Sabrina if you want to show her around?”

“Do you want a tour?” Willow asked Elsa, happy to show off her town.

“I’d love a tour,” Elsa agreed, figuring the tour might distract her from worrying about Anna and she’d never actually been to another town before.

“Cool, let’s go,” Willow said as she grabbed Elsa’s hand and headed down the street, intent on showing Elsa around the town.

“Are we still heading to Sunnydale?” Xander asked as he watched Willow run off with Elsa, happy that the ‘Witch Queen’ wasn’t freaking out.

“Probably.” Myst pulled his attention off Elsa and caught the silver bracelet that dropped from the wheel. He looked at the bracelet. “Neat, it creates a shield that produces oxygen.”

“Does that mean we can go into space?” Danielle asked excitedly.

“In theory, we should probably get Kara or Karen to run some tests but we’re getting closer.” Myst bought the Orbs wheel, curious what he’d get for 10,000 mana. “As for Sunnydale, let’s talk to Zatanna about checking on Anna then we can make a quick stop and de-rat Amy.”

“We should probably set up a vanishing cabinet while we’re thinking about it,” Xander said, knowing that Buffy would have to get back and patrol eventually, even if it was the summer lull.

“Sounds good.” Myst teleported back to the island’s mansion where they’d stashed the snow globes then reached up and caught two red crystal orbs that looked suspiciously like the Orbs of Nezzla'Khan as Danielle and Xander appeared next to him. He checked the orbs with his upgrade ability, not particularly surprised to find that they granted supernatural strength and durability. “One more source of powers.”

“Anything good?” Danielle asked.

“Supernatural strength and durability,” Myst said as he stuck the orbs in his inventory. “I’ll probably make some knock-offs and turn them into bracers.”

“How strong are we talking about?” Xander asked.

“Thirty tons,” Myst said with amusement.

Xander coughed. “Thirty tons?!”

“Yep!” Myst was looking forward to playing around with the enchantment when he got the chance. “You wouldn’t be at Superman’s level but they’d let you deal with most demons without a problem.”

“Most?” Xander asked, hoping he’d heard that wrong.

“I’m not actually sure how strong Etrigan is,” Myst said as he reached out with his telepathy and searched the island for Zatanna. ‘Hey, we could use your help sending a message to another dimension.’

Xander shook his head. “I’m fairly sure he counts as a king of hell and a hero or at least a Justice League associate.”

‘Which dimension?’ Zatanna asked as she watched Kid Flash’s attempts at surfing.

‘I need to send a message to Anna of Arendelle,’ Myst replied mentally. “Fair enough.”

‘Why are we sending messages to fictional people?’ Zatanna asked.

‘Because my Witch Queen gacha wheel grabbed an Elsa, we’re checking to see if her Anna exists and if she’s missing an Elsa,’ Myst replied, trying not to snicker.

‘Witch Queen? You’re lucky you didn’t end up with an evil lunatic like Morgana or Circe. I’m going to need to grab some books from home, which means I’d appreciate a lift,’ Zatanna sent him a mental picture of the beach so he could find her.

“I’ll be right back.” Myst teleported to Zatanna, smiling when he saw her relaxing in a chair without a stitch of clothing. “Having fun?”

“It’s certainly relaxing or at least it was relaxing until someone decided that summoning characters out of a movie was a good idea,” Zatanna teased as she grabbed her clothes and started putting them on.

Myst was glad that he could feel amusement mixed with Zatanna’s concern. “Technically, she’s probably more like the old movie, otherwise she’d have been in a love triangle with her sister and Kristoff.”

“Anna was pretty adorable and Kristoff remarkably brave,” Zatanna mused.

“I’ll need an image…” Myst trailed off as Zatanna playfully sent him a mental image of an animated Kristoff fucking Anna from behind while she fondled a naked Elsa. “Nice image, but I meant I needed an image of where to drop you off.”

Zatanna snickered as she sent him a mental image of the area next to her house. “Joking aside, don’t aim for the house, there are wards and I’d rather not test their effectiveness against a friend.”

Myst shook his head. “Yeah, I’d rather leave the nice house alone.”

“I’ll send you a message when I have something.”

“Thanks,” Myst replied as he teleported her back to Gotham near her house. He teleported back to the mansion to grab Buffy, Xander, and Danielle.

Danielle sighed as she glanced around Willow’s room. “It’s weird knowing that all of my stuff isn’t actually mine.”

“I’m sure Willow will share,” Xander pointed out as he reached into Amy’s cage and pulled the rat out.

“Probably, it’s just weird,” Danielle grumbled.

Buffy pulled her attention off a mostly naked poster of Superman and Wonder Woman fucking for charity. “Just look at the bright side, it gives you an excuse to upgrade your computer.”

“Point,” Danielle admitted.

“Besides, we can always use a gemino charm on any of the really important things.” Myst raised his hand as Xander dropped the rat on Willow’s bed. “Magica Dispel!”

Danielle grinned as the rat changed back into Amy. “Welcome back.”

Amy blinked a few times. “What happened?”

“What do you remember?” Myst asked as he studied the naked girl sprawled on Willow’s bed.

“Lots of cheese and a demonic wheel, before that, I remember a group of parents going insane,” Amy complained.

“That about sums it up,” Xander agreed, rather impressed at how athletic Amy looked. ‘Apparently running around on the wheel every day for months does wonders for getting into shape.’

“How long was I a rat?” Amy asked, having sort of lost track of time.

“You might have missed graduation,” Danielle admitted, feeling guilty that she hadn’t pushed harder to get Amy’s transformation reversed.

Amy scowled at ‘Willow’. “Great, why didn’t you fix this before?”

“Your transfiguration spell was rather impressive, we had to bring in outside help,” Danielle gestured at Myst. “Thankfully Myst agreed to help.”

“Thanks for changing me back,” Amy said as she twisted around so that she was sitting on the edge of the bed. “Now I just have to figure out how to tell my father I’m back.”

“I suggest grabbing some old clothes and walking into the police station during the day, tell them that you remember nothing about the missing time then just explain to your father about the demon and that it was a miscast spell after,” Myst suggested. “You should be able to test out or come back for part of the year to get your diploma.”

“Great, more school,” Amy muttered, wondering who she’d have to hit with a confusion spell to get her diploma without the hassle of going back to class.

“At least you’re not dead or a vampire,” Buffy offered.

“There’s that,” Amy admitted.

Myst took a quick look through Amy’s mind as he pulled a copy of his clothing hat box out of his inventory, trying to get an idea of how screwed up she was and if she knew how to find Rack. Annoyingly enough, or not, depending on how you looked at it, she’d never even heard of the warlock which was going to make tracking him down a lot harder. He reached into the box and grabbed a pair of green sweats and a grey hooded sweatshirt that were a bit large on her.

“That’s an interesting trick,” Amy said as she watched Myst make the box vanish.

“You’re going with sweats?” Buffy asked with a raised eyebrow.

Myst shrugged. “I’m going for clothes she could have borrowed, we don’t want them to fit perfectly. On that note, they should probably head to the police station while we get you home, before your mother has a nervous breakdown.”

“What happened?” Amy asked as she pulled the sweats on.

“Certain members of the Watcher’s Council decided to kidnap me for various idiotic reasons,” Buffy complained.

“That sucks,” Amy commiserated.

“Pretty much.” Buffy was just glad that Giles and Constantine were going to deal with the council.

“On that note, call when you finish sorting everything out.” Myst teleported with Buffy to her porch.

“You’re in a hurry, aren’t you?” Buffy asked as she rang the doorbell, not wanting to freak her mother out even though she’d called and told her that she was coming home.

“The less time I spend on the hellmouth absorbing magic the better for everyone,” Myst replied as the door was pulled open and he saw Joyce. “One Slayer, returned safe and sound and before you hit me, I’m part of the Justice League’s support staff, not the Council.”

Joyce pulled Buffy into a bear hug. “I know, Buffy sent a picture.”

“I need to breathe,” Buffy teased.

“You’ll be fine,” Joyce replied, easing up a touch. “Tea or coffee?”

“I’m good, I’m not a fan of coffee and I’m not British.” Myst gestured and conjured a chocolate milkshake in a glass. “Besides, I can conjure food and drink.”

“Can I have one?” Buffy asked, looking at Myst’s milkshake.

“Sure,” Myst replied as he conjured Buffy a chocolate milkshake. “Do you want a milkshake?” he asked Joyce as he handed Buffy the glass.

“Strawberry?” Joyce asked as she let Buffy go.

“Sure,” Myst replied as he conjured a strawberry milkshake for Joyce.

Joyce took the shake. “Giles mentioned calling a friend to sort things out. How did the Justice League get involved?”

“Mostly because Superman called one of the League magic users when he ran into Xander beating the crap out of the Watcher that had mind controlled Buffy when he claimed diplomatic immunity. Thankfully one of the League’s magic users is British and an old friend of Giles.”

“Considering how much money and influence the council has, I’m not sure they can do all that much,” Joyce complained.

“Normally that would be a consideration but in this case, the Council is sort of screwed.” Myst took a sip of his milkshake.

“Oh?” Joyce asked hopefully, glancing between her smirking daughter and Myst.

“Constantine is the Crown’s court Wizard which means he can do some rather horrific things to the Council, thanks to the fact that the British Crown never gave up the right to deal with magical creatures and practitioners.”

“So no due process and all that?” Joyce asked, not sure what the British equivalent was.

“Merely suggestions when it comes down to it. I would be surprised if you and Buffy don’t end up getting paid a stipend by the time Giles and Constantine get done with the Council.”

“That would help,” Joyce said, thinking about the various extra expenses that Buffy’s calling caused.

“Speaking of help, I’m a little worried about one of Buffy’s enemies trying to get to her through you, would you like some magical defensive gear?” Myst asked, not exactly sure how to word things.

“I doubt I can afford it,” Joyce admitted.

“Don’t worry about the cost, not only does your daughter help protect the Hellmouth, none of the jewelry is all that expensive when it comes to materials which means it’s basically just time.”

Joyce glanced at her daughter, knowing how much she worried about bringing trouble home. “I can’t really say no, can I?”

“You could but you shouldn’t,” Myst replied.

“Take the jewelry Mom, I want you safe,” Buffy ordered.

“Fine, you might as well come in,” Joyce said as she headed inside so show him some of the pieces she liked, maybe he’d have something close.

“This would be a pretty cool gig, right? Hot baths, no paperwork, and if anyone gives you trouble you get to kick their ass,” Willow offered as she relaxed in the steaming bath water, feeling the tension just melt away.

“I’m fairly sure that’s not how it works,” Elsa replied as she relaxed in the steaming pool, fairly sure that Anna would be splashing around if she could get away with it.

“It does here,” Willow replied as she waved her hand through the steam coming off the water, watching steam go in different directions. “That’s the benefits of building your town from the ground up and using magic to keep everything running.”

“Where are you going to find people?” Elsa asked, liking the idea of getting away from the pressures of state but finding the town a bit empty for her taste.

“People will live anywhere if there is decent housing,” Willow teased. “Joking aside, Myst has a magic school which means that people will have to find somewhere to live once they’re done with school.”

“Having other magic users around would be interesting,” Elsa admitted, finding the idea tempting. Maybe she could visit?

Myst sighed as the police car pulled up to him. “Great…” he trailed off as he recognized Ted. “Didn’t expect that.” He slipped the Gem of Amara that he’d just retrieved via teleportation into his inventory then smiled at the ‘man’ in the police officer’s outfit.

“Excuse me, I can see your identification?” Officer Rogers asked politely.

“Sure,” Myst said as he pulled his wallet out and showed him his League identification. “Is there a problem?”

“Justice League associate? Is there anything we need to be concerned about or offer assistance on?” Ted asked concerned.

“Not that I know of, I’m merely visiting friends,” Myst assured him, not looking forward to the paperwork if he had an official problem.

The radio in the car crackled to life, “Re-ort t-ba-e.”

“Would you mind accompany me to the Mayor’s office?” Officer Ted asked. “He probably wants to pass along a message to the League or inform them of a situation.”

“Sure, I have a few minutes,” Myst agreed.

“Hop in the passenger seat, I’ll give you a lift,” the officer suggested leaning over and opening the passenger side door.

“No worries,” Myst said as he walked around the car. He was slightly curious as to why the cop had stopped him in the first place as he currently looked normal enough, though if the Mayor was anything like the one on the TV show then flagging all Justice League members and associates that come to town to visit his office made sense.

Thankfully it was a short mostly quiet trip to City Hall. From there he was escorted to the Mayor’s office, thankfully he wasn’t even made to wait which was nice. He looked around the man’s office, impressed despite himself by the quality of the furnishings and wooden desk.

“Welcome to Sunnydale, how may I assist the League?” Richard Wilkins asked as he studied the man standing in his office.

“That’s a question for the League, I was just visiting friends,” Myst replied with a smile. The mayor may be evil as can be, but he was quite charming.

“I’m glad to hear that, because trouble is something we have more than enough of. You see, we have something of an unusual town, which you may have noticed being a magical adept yourself,” Richard explained, deciding to lay his cards on the table.

Myst nodded. “Lots of magic, most of it dark, a fair number of demons wandering around, yeah, I noticed.”

Richard nodded. “Sunnydale was founded over a gate to Tartarus, so it attracts a darker crowd than most cities. Naturally that includes a fair number of dimensional refugees that look at people more as an exploitable resource than friends and neighbors.”

“I.e. as a food supply,” Myst suggested.

“In many cases,” Richard agreed, “and while I would like to simply wave my wand and wipe them all out, the gate complicates things. Having demonic beings on this side of the gate helps to equalize the pressure and keep it closed. If not for their presence we would have to follow Aztec tradition to keep the dimensional barriers intact.”

“Meaning you’re asking me not to kill the various demons playing kitten poker out of hand because they’re useful.”

“As opposed to the ones hunting children, yes,” Richard replied dryly. “If you see a demon attacking someone or doing anything suspicious, suspicious for a demon mind you, then feel free to handle it as you see fit, I’m just trying to impress upon you the need for moderation.”

“I’m quite content to leave non homicidal demons alone. It’s not my job to kill them,” Myst offered honestly.

The mayor smiled. “You’re a lot more understanding than I expected. The few heroes that have graced our little town have required a bit more persuasion before they accepted the scope of the problem. Why, I was fully prepared to break out the projector and white board so I could go over the fine details of why indiscriminate violence was a bad idea.”

“Yeah, I’m technically support staff, I make tools for the heroes to do their job and I fix problems. There isn’t always a nice solution when you’re dealing with demons, sometimes you just have to send them back to hell screaming and sometimes you have to bind their essence to a rock and make them watch mind rotting television for the rest of eternity.”

“It’s so nice to deal with someone who understands,” Richard said. “Still, I spent a lot of time working on my ‘avoid causing collateral damage like the Earth’ presentation. I don’t suppose I could talk you into seeing it? I really do need someone to give me their honest opinion on how well it turned out.”

“Sure,” Myst replied as he swapped his food ability to theater treats and conjured a bag of popcorn.

“Excellent,” the mayor said with a bright smile as he hit a button on the intercom. “Janet, hold all my calls for the next ten minutes.”

Hunter128

Was there a reason for the time skip between the last chapter and this one? What did the mirror gatcha drop and how did Mist get to the new location between the chapters?

Mist of Shadows

You'll likely learn what the mirror is next time. As for the reason it wasn't shown, it wasn't all that impressive... and they basically just teleported back to the mansion on the island where they're keeping the snow globes then jumped into Willow's globe.

Hunter128

All right then, I was just re-reading and noticed what might have been a plot hole so I thought I would doublecheck.

Mist of Shadows

No worries, it's just that not every gacha roll is going to be useful... and basically I teleported... then walked over to people... was skipped.
