Hermione glanced at Harry’s less than tidy handwriting on the letter that had just appeared out of thin air, not sure why Harry had bothered with sticking a postage stamp on it if he was just going to teleport it to her. She opened the envelope and pulled out the letter, curious why he was sending her a letter at this time of day when it would be rather late at night in England.

Marie Granger noticed the way her daughter was nibbling on her lower lip as she read the letter that had appeared out of nowhere. She paused the movie. “Is something the matter?”

“Harry needs my help researching an interesting magical item, can I go?” Hermione asked hopefully.

Marie shook her head. “I’m sorry. I like Harry, but you’re not going back to Britain until after they’ve dealt with the Minister and the Ministry.”

“Harry’s actually in Rhode Island and he sent a portkey,” Hermione argued.

“What’s he doing in Rhode island?” Brandon Granger asked as he walked into the living room from the kitchen, doing his best to avoid running into any of the furniture or boxes of books his wife and daughter had scattered around the place.

Hermione turned to look at her father. “Helping the Junior Justice League with a magical problem.”

“And you wouldn’t have to go back to England?” Brandon asked, knowing that meeting the League could open all sorts of doors for his daughter and possibly bring some official attention down on the British Ministry of Magic.

Marie looked at her husband. “Let me guess, this is a good opportunity for her?”

“Of course it is,” Brandon replied then grinned at Marie. “Besides, this gives us a chance to check out some of the local bars and entertainment.”

“Fine, you can go. Grab your books and a change of clothes.” Marie waited until Hermione had bounced into her room before grinning and calling out, “And at least two pairs of panties!”

“Mum!” Hermione complained as she quickly tossed a change of clothes and a night shirt into her bag along with extra panties. “As if I’d forget, it’s Harry!”

Brandon shook his head, knowing his daughter was head over heels in love with Harry. “At least she favors him over that Weasel guy.”

“Weasley,” Hermione corrected her father absently as she collected the arithmancy books she thought she might need, “and he’s not that bad, considering some of the idiots in the wizarding world.”

Marie shook her finger at her husband, knowing full well that he knew Ronald’s actual name.

“Right, Weasley,” Brandon said. He smiled at his daughter as she walked out of her room with her shoulder bag slung over her shoulder. “Stay safe and have fun.”

“I’ll do my best.” Hermione held onto the letter tightly. “Beam me up Scotty.” She blinked as she found herself in a lounge with a number of costumed teenagers and Harry with barely a pull on her navel. “You’re getting better at that.”

“I’ve gotten a lot of practice lately,” Harry replied with amusement as he stood up and they hugged each other. “Nice to see you.”

“Same. What did you need help with?” Hermione asked as she let Harry go.

‘She’s got half a foot on the actress that played her in the movies but the resemblance is remarkable.’ Myst glanced down at Hermione’s behind. ‘And damn it, I’m starting to sympathize with Ron, they’re adorable together which is probably driving him crazy. Then again, maybe he’s not as neurotic in this world.’

Harry gestured at Myst. “Myst’s power created a full size replica of Hogwarts. You’re my Hogwarts a History expert.”

“Fair enough…” Hermione trailed off as her mind processed Harry’s statement. “What do you mean his power created a full size Hogwarts?”

Myst smiled at Hermione and gestured at the enchanted snow globe sitting on the end table. “Hogwarts, in a globe, just touch the globe and say Hogwarts and you’ll be brought to a magical land.”

“What happens if someone shakes it?” Beast Boy asked.

“Everyone gets dizzy,” Xander said sarcastically.

Myst glanced at Beast Boy. “It snows or at least you get the illusion of snow. Everything in the globe is in a pocket dimension, the globe is just a window.” He grinned at Xander. “Which means no one in the globe should feel anything when you shake it.”

“That’s probably for the best,” Xander admitted, “though not nearly as fun.”

“Introductions?” Hermione asked as she glanced around the room, curious about the people she couldn’t put names to.

Harry gestured at the various people as he named them, “Connor, Megan, Kara, Karen, Beast Boy, Willow, Buffy, Xander, Artemis, Starfire, Sabrina, Raven, Zatanna and Myst.”

“Nice to meet everyone,” Hermione replied, her gaze lingering on Starfire’s breasts before she focused on Myst. “What type of powers do you have?”

“Several, one of them allows me to conjure or create random items in exchange for mana another one lets me create knock-offs of magical items.” Myst opened his upgrade menu and looked at Hermione, curious if she had any unique abilities or traits. “My favorite is probably my ability to upgrade just about anything and everything other than skills.” .

Harry grinned when Hermione glanced at him for confirmation that Myst wasn’t joking. “He upgraded my eyes, I can see better than I could with my glasses.”

“I noticed, I’d just assumed you were wearing contacts,” Hermione admitted. “What else?”

“He also upgraded my mental defenses and bones to be the next best thing to unbreakable and boosted my ability to detect magic so that I can see magic, it’s useful if a bit strange.”

“That does sound useful,” Hermione agreed, wondering what type of upgrades Myst could give her and how much they’d cost.

“He also upgraded my cup size,” Artemis added cheerfully as she lifted her shirt to show Hermione.

“She asked,” Myst quickly assured Hermione, still not quite used to the fact that the world was more than a little twisted compared to what it should have been, thanks to Klarion’s death. He pulled his gaze off Artemis’s breasts and focused on his upgrade menu. ‘Hmm, her wisdom score is a bit low compared to her intelligence which is probably why she thought SPEW was a good idea, too caught up with thinking she could fix it without asking herself if it should be fixed. Then again, that’s not exactly uncommon for teenagers.’ He glanced at her mental defenses, they were decent but not exceptionally impressive compared to some of the League and Harry but probably on the high side of normal people. “Do you want your mental defenses upgraded?”

“How much would that cost me?” Hermione asked.

“That one is free,” Myst assured her. “The less mind controlled magic users we have running around, the better.”

Kara spoke up, “It’s nice not worrying about mind controlling villains anymore.”

“Yeah,” Buffy muttered, thinking about the Watcher’s council.

Harry grinned when Hermione looked at him. “I haven’t noticed any problems and Wonder Woman vouched for him.”

“In that case, thanks. What do I have to do?” Hermione asked.

“Stand there and don’t scream,” Xander suggested, trying to sound as serious and solemn as possible.

Willow playfully punched Xander’s shoulder. “Ignore him.”

“I might have deserved that,” Xander admitted with a grin.

Myst snickered as he upgraded Hermione’s mental defenses well into the supernatural range.

Hermione giggled when a gentle wind flowed over her, caressing her skin with feather light touches in all the right places. “That tickles.”

“Sorry about that, spending a lot of mana tends to have noticeable effects. Is there anything else you want upgraded?” Myst asked Hermione.

“It’s fine, it just tickled. What are you offering and how much are you charging?” Hermione asked, figuring it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

“How about nearly indestructible bones and increased reaction speed and fatigue recovery for a signed picture?” Myst offered.

“Deal,” Hermione replied quickly, not bothering to ask why he wanted a signed picture of her and just happy it was within her price range. “Does anyone have a camera?”

“I’ve got one in my room, I’ll grab it,” Beast Boy said as he headed out of the room at a run.

“In that case, let’s get to upgrading.” Myst quickly upgraded Hermione’s skeletal system to be unbreakable then upgraded her reaction speed until the price jumped because he’d boosted her reaction speed enough that it matched his speed with the agility boost from the necklace which put her well into the supernatural range. “You’ll probably have to do some training to make sure you have a handle on everything but I boosted your bones and reaction speed. Give me a second to boost my fatigue recovery then we’ll see how impressive we can boost your stamina.”

“As high as possible,” Harry said with amusement, knowing she was already a wildcat in the sack.

“I won’t complain about more stamina,” Hermione assured him, trying to focus despite the fact that her nipples could cut glass right now from the waves of mana that had washed over her.

“Good.” Myst spent the better part of two thousand mana to boost his fatigue recovery up to one point a second. He spent 3,750 mana to boost his stamina up to a hundred then tapped his pendant and dropped 45,000 mana into boosting his stamina all the way up to 1,000, figuring he’d need it when he started running.

Zatanna shivered and nibbled her bottom lip as waves of pleasure crashed over her.

Buffy caught Willow as her knees gave out. “Are you okay?”

Willow giggled and leaned against Buffy. “Shiny!”

“A little warning would be nice,” Raven said, barely managing to keep her own reactions from being obvious.

Sabrina giggled as leaned back and sprawled across Raven and Zatanna’s laps. “Do that again.”

Hermione shivered as she sat on Harry’s lap before she fell over, trying not to giggle or squeal as the wind played over her skin.

Beast Boy ran back into the room with his digital camera. “Did I miss anything?”

“Nope, just doing some upgrades,” Myst replied as he used his own mana to boost Hermione’s fatigue regeneration up to a point a second and her fatigue up from thirty to one hundred and slipped in a decent amount of increase to her neural interconnectivity, i.e. wisdom. “That should do it, improved bones, reaction speed, stamina and stamina regeneration.”

“Thank you. Let me guess, the feeling is more intense the more mana you spend?” Hermione asked, trying to get her brain back in gear.

“Yeah, I haven’t figured out how to stop that other than a circle and that takes a bit of preparation.” Myst was just glad that the mana waves didn’t seem to be addictive or at least nothing was showing up on his upgrade ability.

“Where do you want to set up?” Beast Boy asked as he glanced around the crowded lounge.

Myst glanced at the Hogwarts globe then over at the vending machine. “We might as well grab enough Coke for everyone then explore Hogwarts.”

“I’d prefer tea,” Hermione said as Kara walked over and started buying Cokes.

“I have a Coke bottle that creates Re’em’s blood infused Coke that will give you supernatural strength and durability permanently. I could move it to tea, are you interested?” Myst asked with amusement.

“You don’t want my first born or anything for it?” Hermione asked warily.

Myst shook his head. “Nah, though that reminds me, I still need to find someone willing to test the pregnancy belt.”

“Not it!” Buffy and Xander said at the same time as Raven.

“I can’t say I blame you,” Myst replied.

“Pregnancy belt?” Hermione asked sceptically.

“It’s basically a magical belt that makes pregnancy a lot safer and dramatically speeds everything up,” Zatanna explained.

“Including how fast the children grow up,” Raven pointed out, not quite sure how she felt about that.

“I’d help but it’s a bit hard to find any Kryptonian men that I’m not related to,” Karen said a touch sadly.

“But if you could?” Beast Boy asked ‘innocently’.

“And they weren’t completely horrible? I’d probably consider it,” Karen admitted as she handed Kara a bag for the bottles of Coke. “The contract with Wayne industries should give me plenty of money and Myst can upgrade the belt until I’d only be pregnant for a few hours or days and the children would be teens in a couple of weeks. Of course, I doubt we’ll find any kryptonians on Earth that I’m not related to that aren’t insane escaped convicts from the Phantom Zone.”

Myst made a mental note to check if Kandor survived in this version of the world. He knew it wasn’t very nice, but part of him was sort of hoping it hadn’t, if only because they were usually pretty screwy whenever they showed up.

“So hypothetically are you talking biologically Kryptonian or culturally?” Beast Boy asked.

“At this point, I’m not picky. Why?” Karen asked as she turned to look at Beast Boy.

“Because I can probably take the form of a Kryptonian,” Beast said with a smirk.

Karen laughed when she realized that he was probably right. “In that case, work on your Kryptonian form and I’ll consider it, depending on the results of the DNA tests.”

“Sweet!” Beast Boy said, figuring at worst it would give him a reason to hang around a couple of gorgeous women and at best, sex with one of said gorgeous women which would be awesome. “Speaking of Kryptonians,” he turned to look at Myst, “could you upgrade a solar lamp until it supercharges a Kryptonian or Starfire?”

“Hmm, I’d probably need to install some type of alternate power source then tweak everything to hell and back but I probably could.”

“The lava lamp would probably be a good start,” Zatanna suggested.

“That would keep people from being overly curious why your apartment is drawing enough power to run a repair shop,” Myst agreed. “On that note, let’s investigate Hogwarts.” He reached over and touched the globe. “Hogwarts!”

Myst blinked as everything turned white then he found himself falling for a split second or several seconds crammed into a second before he landed lightly on the ground in the middle of Hogsmeade safe and sound as if he’d just apparated there.

Zatanna blinked as Myst seemed to turn into snow then swirl into the globe in an amusing cgi effect. “Well, that happened.”

“Next!” Sabrina squealed as she rolled off the girls then bounced to her feet and touched the globe turning into a swirl of snow when she said, “Hogwarts!”

Myst could barely keep the smile off his face as he looked around the street of old fashioned houses that looked to have jumped out of a movie of medieval times if you ignored the slate tile roofs and the fact that they had glass windows. He walked over to the closest shop and looked in the window.

“Anything interesting?” Sabrina asked, walking over as the rest of the group filed in.

“Not really, just an empty shop and a set of keys on the counter.” Myst tested the door and shook his head slightly when he found it locked. “That’s a touch annoying.”

“Alohomora,” Harry said as he waved his hand at the door, causing it to unlock with an audible click. “I’m a touch surprised that actually worked.”

“It shouldn’t have,” Hermione said as she walked over to the next shop and looked in the window. “It should be charmed against that spell. Of course, everything is empty so it’s obviously not a perfect copy.”

Harry laughed. “Considering a ‘perfect’ copy would have wizards, this is better.”

“This is neat!” Starfire flew up past the tops of the roofs and slowly spun around, taking in the view.

“I’d have to agree with Harry, the wizarding world is more than a bit screwed up,” Zatanna agreed.

“What’s wrong with wizards?” Beast Boy asked as he looked around the empty village.

“They’re generally condescending assholes that don’t understand the real world and want to hide their heads in the sand, never mind the fact that there are magical heroes running around and cell phones and public surveillance cameras make obliviation nearly pointless, the Ministry is still dead set on ‘hiding’ magic.”

“Yeah, that sounds bad,” Beast Boy admitted.

Myst shrugged. “It makes me glad I’m not a wizard.”

Harry shook his head. “I’m fairly sure the Ministry wouldn’t care that you’re not a wizard if they found out what you could do, they’d want to control you.”

“All things considered, that would end very badly for them. If the League didn’t stomp them and rescue me, I’d probably just blast my way out of wherever they were holding me.” Myst doubted he’d react well to a serious attempt to contain him and even less favorably to an attempt to hold his friends hostage.

Megan looked around in a daze. “Everything is so quiet, we’re the only people here.”

“Do you sense anything from the forest?” Harry asked as he turned to look toward the Forbidden Forest.

Megan reached out with her telepathy then shook her head. “There are many strange minds but I don’t feel anything hostile or human, why?”

Harry sighed in relief. “The real Forbidden Forest has some nasty monsters in it, including sentient car sized giant spiders.”

“That could be interesting,” Beast Boy said thoughtfully, “if I can get a good look at them then I could add them to the list of forms I use.”

“No, just no,” Raven scolded her friend when she saw the look on his face.

Buffy pulled her attention off the empty shops. “Are they evil?”

“They wanted to eat us back in second year, so yeah, I’d say they were evil,” Harry complained.

“On that note, we should probably head to the castle and see if it’s locked,” Myst said as he looked down at his pedometer. He started running then quickly stopped after about ten feet when he ended up bouncing in odd directions and varying amounts due to his nature as an amorphous being. “Yeah, apparently having a skeletal structure is sort of important for running.”

“You could always test your magic girl form,” Sabrina suggested.

“Point,” Myst muttered as he focused and changed into a six foot tall teenager girl with shoulder length blue hair. “How do I look?”

“Sexy,” Sabrina offered.

Kara grinned as she looked at Myst. “I’m going to want a copy of your magic girl form.”

‘I should probably find a mirror when I have time.’ Myst dropped all of his mana into upgrading his pedometer, dropping it down to only needing to run 467 feet before regenerating 3% of his mana. He tapped into his pendant and dropped sixty two thousand mana into the pedometer boosting it so that he only needed 405 steps before it he got the extra mana regeneration. He grinned then took off running, happy to find running much easier now that he had a skeletal system though ‘his’ breasts had a slightly annoying tendency to bounce while running.

Karen leaned against a wall and let out a breath. “Okay, now that was a good one.”

“I’ll see if I can’t get him to warn us next time,” Zantanna promised.

“Or do a whole bunch of small ones and then the big one and then some more small ones,” Willow said thoughtfully.

“I think I’ll skip using my magic girl form around him,” Xander decided.

“Yeah, that’s probably a good idea,” Harry agreed.
