Colt is a slick, wet, amorphous organism found in a crag on the ocean floor.
From here he was retrieved and transferred to the Gakkel Deep research lab within Rodarc Peak University for analysis and research.

The nature of his testing - the who's and why's, and how he came to be released from containment will be explored later.

This Colt looks different to the Colt in the comic Winty, what's going on?

This is a snapshot of where I want him to get to. See, Colt is not a symbiote - despite similarities. He's an organism capable of self sustenance without a host. He can do this by regular old matter consumption (eating as normal), or he can absorb nutrients from any host he inhabits. When he's sufficiently massive he can compress his form down from a fluid state to something a bit more solid and durable. This lets him exist beyond a host indefinitely, so long as he accounts for the wear and tear.

Where we are story-wise he is still very much in his learning phase. Impulsive, obsessive, flooded with aggressive male hormones from his young host previous. He is confused, and rightly so. The world above water is all frightening and new. To add to this confusion, there is more going on in the world to exacerbate this strangeness...

He is truly fearful of Gakkel, and has a massive hatred for the shock prods and weapons they used on him in his non-sentient juvenile state.
