Website Changes (Patreon)

I just wanted to let you all about some new changes to my site - specifically there are now ads.

I have always wanted to make my site the one place on the internet where you weren't bombarded by ads. But like many of you I am feeling the impacts of the inflation and the current economic state. Running my site costs me over $500 a month just to handle the traffic and offer things like a different experience for logged in users. As much as I want to keep paying this cost out of pocket, I honestly just can't afford it anymore. 

HOWEVER, I am working with a company (Ezoic) and we are actively working to make it so if you are logged in through Patreon you will see ZERO ads. It may take a day or two for ads to be removed for you all, so please bear with me - I am working to fix this as fast as I can.

Even though you all should will not see ads when you are logged in, I want you to know I have been working with the Ezoic to ensure there are no confusing and/or misleading ads. Even for non-patrons, I don't want any ads on my site that mislead users on what button to click for a download etc. So during the next few days if you see something that is deceptive, please let me know because that is the last thing I want.

In the meantime, please hang with me. In the next few days ALL ads will be removed for you when you are logged in through Patreon. This was truly a super hard decision to make and I didn't take it lightly. You all are always so supportive and, as usual, I am sure you all will have nothing but kind words to say... but honestly I feel so bad about making this change. I promise I would not do it if I didn't absolutely need to - I went almost 4 years with no ads but I just couldn't fiscally survive without it anymore. I hope you understand 🙏🏻 (and also you should have no ads soon).

Final note - OMSP+ is ~finally~ getting released this week. Just putting on the final touches now!!
