That bed would also be perfect for my Cinderella story build!!!!

MajikAce

The cooler is something I have been wanting for a long time. Is it possible to also have a fan? We have a heater from Snowy Escape for the cold days but what if we had a fan for the hot days? Just a thought!

Anonymous

A coooolerrrrr!!! I'm stoked for that alone. Can't wait to see everything!

LauraMack

This is amazing. One of my favourite things to build is run down shacks and post-apocalyptic run down houses etc (I have an issue I know 😂) so I'm always looking out for run down poverty furniture cc, and off the grid items that don't look like they belong in a victorian house

Anonymous

Omg i thought i was the only one😅😅 shacks, storage container homes and trailer parks are my FAVOURITE builds to actually play in haha

ravasheen

This is exactly what I need to hear! And for you majik, I’d make just about anything ♥️ Added to the list

ravasheen

I technically already have a cooler but it doesn’t preserve food. With this one I made two flavors - one tied to the fridge inventory (allows u to fill the cooler with ice) and one with a seperateed inventory.

A portable otg cooking pot with basic recipes on a fire or a portable gas bottle would be good.

Excited for that bed! Rundown build/buy is so hard to find for this game 🙁

Kaessa

Ooh! A "camp toilet" would be awesome. Basically, a 5 gallon bucket, lined with a trash bag, with a toilet seat on top. Something that isn't a "real" toilet, but isn't that damn bush. 🤣

Kaessa

I'm going through things in my head that we used when I lived OTG as a kid (we were building a log cabin in the woods). A wash pan instead of a sink (basically a plastic/metal pan or tub you could set on a table and fill with water). Sleeping bags. A "solar shower" that you can hang from a tree... you could basically make a tree into a shower. The coffee pot that goes on the fire. Cooking on a camp stove or over the fire. I have no idea how feasible any of these things are, but they're the things that pop into my head when I think about living rough OTG.

Love this!! Will this set be available on Sunday?

Holly Golden

A mesh of the "pee bush" made to look like an outhouse would be cool! And here's a question (this would be a MUCH larger ask and I don't expect you to be able to deliver anytime soon, but): is there a way to get more collectibles/dig-able spots and plants to harvest on the map? Some worlds, like Henford-on-Bagley, seem to have way too few places to scavenge for stuff... Thanks so much for all the amazing work you do!!

ravasheen

sleeping bags are hard, that was my first idea. but i did make a few other options!

ravasheen

its almost done. i feel like im missing some items so also hoping to get feedbakc today on what else you all want. i will add those items then release!

you can find those objects in debug and use tool to place them around, i believe

Buckets for toilets and hygiene. The wipes for hygiene even as a really quick before your sim goes to work thing would be great. Or to wash a sim in a sink (more hygiene than handwashing with nudity blur) and then a bucket sink, maybe? Can you prepare food on that table? If not a counter height cardboard box would work. Sorry, my Ambien is kicking in and this comment may be a hot mess, lol.

I love these ideas!! Here are a couple ideas that came to mind: A bike that generates electricity, with a rubber band/record player?, like an old timey excersise bike?? Also, could you add storage/a shopping cart to a regular bike so sims can "drive" their inventory around? Another thought is: what about adding an interaction/trait that allows sims to "panhandle"?, (similar to asking for a loan but they get like, 5 simolians) instead of a shelter to get simmies out of the rain, what if you made a poncho that is wearable? It could be sort of like the crystal helmet, the one that gives the embarassment buff-- but it could keep them a bit more dry?

Anonymous

Another thought I had was pets! Sometimes people without homes still have pets. Like you did with the bathroom station for humans but for pet interactions? Like a newspaper that has a small tin of cat food on it that cats or dogs can sleep/eat/poop on? lol. I know these are wild ideas but I play out this sinerio all the time with my sims and I've been thinking about this <3

Food pantry rabbit hole?? Gives sim the uncomfortable buff but fills food /social!! <3

Sorry it's so long. :) For Shelter: Tarp lean-to with stick legs. Cardboard boxes. Stick & Leaves shelter. Maybe, upgrade shelter with found items (collecting or trash)? For Food: Small portable cooking stove. Cure/smoke fish on a line so it lasts longer. (I think there was a decorative item like this in the video?) Small pot to heat water. Herbal remedies from campfire or cooking stove. Tripod cooking campfire. For Hygiene: Bucket toilet. Plastic bag shower. Tarp walls for bathroom. Allow showering in rain inside tarp walls. For Warmth: Solar blankets. Multi-layered coats. Trash bag blankets or clothes. Terracotta heater or table fire. For Cooling: Tarp shelter for Shade. Hand Fan. Box Fan. For Power: Car Battery. Portable solar panel. (Maybe use the gas can function with a scaled down, inventory capable version of the solar panel?) For Light: Convertible Hanging to table lanterns. Flashlights? For Activities: One-pot candle making. Portable Chess. Table top painting easel. And for the ... criminals... a table to sell wares of dubious origin? Anything combined with the Saleabration mod would assist in Rags-to-Riches. Trash Bin: Find items required to upgrade space in trash. Ability to search through neighbor's trash to find smaller items. Find random dirty/broken items from buy mode in dumpsters.

This I am really looking forward to, one thing I miss from TS2 (or maybe it was 3) was students could use sinks for a sponge bath, I remember there was a mod that enabled it for all ages. That would be my wish for a perfect homeless start, being able to fully fill hygiene needs in any public venue with a toilet and sink. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with :)

Someone needs to tell lilsimsie!!!

Ooh - this will also be great for having Sims move into and slowly "renovate" an abandoned house!

Stanley Humphry is her hotdog sim that she uses for her “rags to riches” series 🌭

Hello Ravasheen. I've always been a big fan of the "Sims 2 Castaway". Your upcoming set is absolutely great for my shipwreck/castaway gameplay in Sims4. A dream becomes true! I would also have so many ideas but as I see many of your members have come before me. So all I can say is: thank you to everyone who shared such wonderful ideas. And to you Ravasheen: you are amazing, so talented and always so kind to us. It's an honor to know you. Many thanks for your commitment and lovely regards from Austria P.S. If you need more ideas for other items, I advise you to take a look at Sims2 Castway (if you should have the game?! Otherwise, a trailer on YT might be enough as an idea collector). ;)

You are just completely incredible!

Kaessa

OMG thank you for the bucket toilet! This is amazing. I'm so looking forward to this set, I'm definitely going to start a new Rags to Riches challenge once it's out.

Anonymous

Im so excited for this! Struggle plays are my favs idky. :) I cannot wait to use these things thank you! But take all the time you need! We appreciate your hard work.

Thank you for this set. One thing I would love is a basic wallmount (like a nail) to hang my lantern on. Another would be a simple worn version of the military cot with the box and boots removed. It looks good for gameplay but the military stuff always breaks the immersion for me. Finally, a grimy version of any of the basic toilets, shower/tubs, dressers and bookcases or portraits would be amazing. Or make some of the broken-down furniture in the Eco Living Live Debug usable like the fridge or dresser. Thank you for the hard work and for making these items!

Sillybeebo Simmer

Solar lamps of all sorts would be awesome. The candle chandeliers that are OTG are waaay to ginormous. Solar sconces, smaller solar/OTG ceiling lights pretty please!

Martine

I agree. I love old run down houses and the "newness" of the bathroom fixtures break immersion. It wouldn't have to be grimy, but I wish we had old and worn version.
