A Bit Of A Chat with Dr. Jennifer Capla (Patreon)

Yes, my stay here has been extended far beyond its original scope, but that unexpected telescoping has allowed for some opportunities I had not anticipated.

One of those opportunities stems from a very personal place, and one I've been reticent to discuss publicly, because... well... I find it deeply embarrassing. That it is also tied to an accomplishment I should, in any logical mode, be profoundly proud about is a cognitive dissonance I'm still working to resolve.

And so, in an effort to resolve that dissonance, I decided to use the forum I've created for myself, A Bit Of A Chat, and have a chat that hits far closer to home than some of my more casual conversations.

Finding myself in New York, I reached out to Dr. Jennifer Capla, a renowned plastic surgeon who has been at the forefront of a particular specialty that addresses a little-discussed side effect of massive weight loss - skin reduction surgeries. Very kindly, she agreed to take some time out of her ridiculously busy schedule, on a rainy day in midtown, to have a chat about a subject I've been loathe to discuss with even those closest to me.
