Hey there.

So, I'm doing my thing, resting a little more than usual and carrying DV 29 slowly while I do and reevaluate some stuff. Also taking care of health after a weird day weeks ago, things seem to be okayish.

I had some extra tech-fun disassembling The Dreamer (the main rendering rig), doing some cleaning and adjustments while finding room for the new guest.

No real fun for now, as a typical anxious perfectionist I need to have stuff working before fun, so, gotta have things looking good before diving into gluttony and alcohol for the festivities (also gotta take some exams before it just because, fgs, hahaha).

Ah, yes, I've got another card into my rig to improve workflow and I'm testing it - not exhaustively - and no, it is not any monster card, I've just got a Quadro A4500 to help with workflow and share the rendering - it is the only card that wouldn't force me to change the whole setup.

The objective is undevolt both so in hotter days I can still render something while managing the heat - in the winter comes the real test because weather will allow me to let them run wild!

Dividing the work between 2 cards is doing great, keeping thermals under control while rendering animations with both. With the shorter render time they kinda cool down while caching between frames, so, working with multiple cards seems to be the way to go now (to me at least).

For static panels it is still a little hotter because the higher quality and having the scene fully working (on animations I disable big stuff that is not being shown), so, with more things to calculate the render take more time, from 2 to 4 times, depending on the scene.

Now render previews do almost zero lag on the pc while caching or rendering - I keep the Quadro 4500 carrying the rendering while the 3090 is free for handling the system and viewports. This brings more stability, and Daz didn't crash while doing this workflow yet... this is good, stability while working "like crazy" is VERY good.

Other interesting workflow improvement (and a complaint I had while having a single card) is that now I can keep one project rendering on the Quadro while I let the 3090 free for working on something else, like light testing a scene or assembling stuff and testing the light on the spot so the model is ready to go when it goes to a new project. It is also amazing that it is possible to assemble and fully deliver a project while rendering other stuff (back in the day if I did that the main render stopped and/or Daz crashed, so, I gave up that at that time).

In the end, things didn't improve much on the rendering time for real, it is Brazilian on Summer here, but  the workflow will flow much better than before and this will bring some more efficiency to the works.

I hope you all doing good.

Thanks for the support.
