This might win the award for the OLDEST “Unreleased Song” that I’ve shared here on Patreon. I recently came across it and had to share…

Back in 2011, I was fresh out of college and on my first writing trip in LA. Thanks to some dumb luck, I had the pleasure of writing with the great Maia Sharp. If you don’t know Maia, check her out! Not only does she have several super bad ass records, but she also has a Patreon page! I just joined it myself. :) Come enjoy it with me: www,patreon.com/maiasharp

Together, Maia and I wrote this sweet little ditty, "Sunshine". Though we didn’t write it as a kid’s song per se, hearing it now sparked thoughts of a future children’s record. Hmm… food for thought!

I hope it brings a little light to your day!

Thanks for listening!

P.S. Later, Maia and I wrote a song called Stay, which made its way onto her 2015 record “The Dash Between The Dates”. Pretty rad!!

Liz, so very sweet! We just spent the day at an amusement park with our grands and it was sunshine. and blue skies, although funnel cake instead of ice cream! Thank you for sharing. We vote yes for a children's record!
