Unreleased Song #24: Rainy Independence Day Tonight (Patreon)

Remember MySpace? Gosh, I loved finding new music on MySpace back in the day. As a budding musician, it was where I spent a lot of my time connecting with fellow artists and reorganizing my top 8 friends. LOL. If ya know, ya know.

The best thing that ever came from MySpace for me is my friendship with singer/songwriter Robby Hecht.

Shortly after I fangirled over his music on MySpace, we decided to play a show together in Portland, ME when I was on a college break. From then on, he’s been a dear friend. We’ve toured together several times, written together many times…. whatever we do we always have a good time.

Several years ago, I started hosting annual July 4th parties. But on July 2019, it was raining and the party wasn’t possible. Robby and I got together, joked about the canceled party being a potential song idea… and we laughed our way though creating “Rainy Independence Day”. He sang the original… and I don’t know if I do it justice but I had to share. Hopefully you can’t relate this year!!! But just in case it rains on your party…
