I'd like to share this touching story with you, but out of respect for the family, I've changed the names.

While I never met Melanie, somehow this song found its way to her dad shortly after her passing last year.

According to her father Fred, every time he got into his car, Send You My Love would play. He'd never heard it before, or heard of me, and couldn't figure out why it kept showing up. When he listened closely to the lyrics, he felt it was his daughter's way of sending a message. 

Fred embraced the song, found me on the internet, and sent my music to his local music venue: The Center for The Arts in Grass Valley, CA. Somehow, he orchestrated a way for me to play there for the first time in June.  Fred then reached out to my booking agency, told them the story, and asked me to film and record a version of Send You My Love for Melanie's memorial service.

What an honor.

While I'd like to keep the video and messaging private to their family, I pulled the audio of the performance to share with you. This story and the re-imagining of this song has connected me to 'Send You My Love' on a whole new level. I can't help hearing it from her family's point of view now.
