The whole Funeral For My Past ACOUSTIC EP is officially out this Friday. Closing the chapter on releasing Funeral For My Past recordings is bittersweet. It's the end of a beautiful chapter, which was made possible by my dear 1302 Crew (many of whom are here on Patreon!). I’ve loved sharing this music with you, and hearing what these songs have meant to you. And while releasing it independently was a whole lot more work, I appreciate every win that much more.

The end of a chapter is the start of another... and much to my excitement, I've been feeling extra-creative lately.

From late night "quick, get the guitar out!" co-writes with Patryk, to creating a list of dream collaborators and getting the nerve to reach out... I am more excited about writing music than I have been in years! Perhaps it was the Opelika Songwriters Festival that switched something in me, or going out the other night to a writer's round here in Nashville... Seeing songwriters with so much passion for telling a story through song sparked something in me.

Last week, I started a new song with one of my musical heroes... the angel-voiced Mindy Smith. Sitting across from her and hearing her flesh out a melody was like going back to school. Wow. Today we reconvene. :)

I'll dive into this a bit more in the next Voicemail I leave you.
