I made you a playlist! (Patreon)

Hi Lizards! I made you a playlist of songs that I've collaborated on that you may not know! Below I've shared a little bit about each one. Hope you enjoy listening.
1. If We Listen: This new Christmas song is hot off the press, written by Barnaby Bright. Though we weren't able to record this together in person, they sent me the song this summer and I recorded the vocal in my house. :) It was a joy to be part of this beautiful album.
2. Why Do I Worry: I wrote this with my friend Jeff LeBlanc several years ago. It seems more relevant today than ever... I don't know about you but 2020 has made me a worry wart. (Yikes, that's a gross saying...now that I see it written out.)
3. Say Anything You Want: You've heard this song before if you've heard my album WEIGHTLESS. Jeff LeBlanc and I wrote this together and we both decided to record it. :) Enjoy his version!
4. It's About Us: Okay, so Jeff LeBlanc and I have written a few songs together - this is the latest of the bunch! He came to Nashville last year and we wrote this one together.
5. If You Love Somebody: Korby Lenker and I wrote this together years ago. He's one of the most creative people I've ever met... an author, an actor, a musician, and he directed a video for this song in his front yard.
6. We Don't Talk About It Anymore: I'm always and forever a fan of Brian Dunne. It was a treat to sing this powerful song with him on his record Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements.
7. Avery: In my time at Berklee College of Music, I was mentored by Livingston Taylor (James Taylor's brother). He was kind enough to share his stage with his students... inviting me and fellow singer-songwriter Seth Glier to open his show whenever possible. Livingston was convinced that Avery was a "hit pop song". I wrote it and recorded it very stripped down on Hot Loose Wire. It wasn't a hit for me... haha. But Seth Glier decided to incorporate it into his live show, under Livingston's advice. Then it made his record! Pretty cool.
8. Human: I wrote Human with one of my regular co-writers: Ian Keaggy! Songs I've written with Ian that you've heard? Swing, Never Really Mine & Rescue My Heart. With Human, he decided to release it under his new project: Hadwyn.
9. Say Goodbye: Every month I share an Unreleased Song on my Patreon at the Legit Lizard level. The latest was a song I wrote with Christian Lopez that unfortunately never came out. Here is one that DID come out. It's a rocking number.
10. Best of You: I included this even though honestly you can barely hear me on this recording... I'm still happy to be part of any Michael Logen song. He's one of my favorite artists. He's written songs for Jonny Lang, Kelly Clarkson, and tv shows like One Tree Hill and Parenthood. I highly recommend a deep dive into his music.
11. Close My Eyes: Possibly one of my favorite duets I've ever gotten to be part of. This song is just ridiculously beautiful and singing with Jesse Terry feels so natural. Oh wait, that's the name of the album. ;)
12. Never Meant To Be With You: Before we started writing songs together, I sang on this Jeff LeBlanc classic!
13. Girlfriend: OKAY... so between Weightless & Funeral For My Past, I had a huge pop writing phase. I wrote with pop writers all around Nashville, sometimes twice a day. I'll be sharing some of those unreleased songs on Patreon in the coming months. But here's one that came out - super under the radar. Hope you enjoy it.
14. Rock Bottom: This one came from that same pop writing phase. Kait Weston and I wrote together a whole lot (yep, you guessed it... I'll be sharing those on Patreon in the coming months). She was going through a tough time and we were trying to write a song for her. I remember the moment I said "I can ROCK rock bottom" and the other writers (Luke Arens & Karl O) exploded into this massive chorus. This was written & produced in the same day. Four writers. One day. SO. MUCH. FUN.
15. Morning Light: Caroline Glaser was on The Voice in 2013 and the world fell in love with her. Soon after, she posted a cover on YouTube of "When You've Got Trouble". I couldn't believe she knew that song! We became friends, toured together, wrote together... and this co-write made her record. I was lucky to sing on it, too!
Have a great weekend, my friends! <3
