THE ASHUR FIRE TEMPLE (Patreon)

The History of the Ashur
Long before humanity's first settlements, during the era when the First Children adorned the world with their magic and arts. Before the concept of magic was fully grasped, there were those who could harness nature's raw forces. In those primordial times, when religious and academic approaches to magic were indistinguishable, these early magic wielders, later termed "Primals," were revered as tribal sages. They were the first to follow the nascent gods, born from the consciousness of the earliest souls, evolving alongside civilization itself. These original deities were as primal as the beings just emerging from their animalistic roots. They weren't gods of the sea or sun but embodiments of raw emotions, like Gaia herself: Fear, Anger, Joy, Sorrow, Surprise, and Disgust. These primal core emotions are so deeply ingrained in the origins of civilizations that they represent a universal cultural constant shared by nearly all societies.
The first Ashur, a group of Primals, dedicated themselves to these raw elements, attempting to control weather, mold flames, and sense the earth. Their power led to the construction of the first stone structures and the taming of fire for warmth and cooking. The Ashur persist today, resembling what many would call Druids, but with a deeper connection to cosmic energies. They harness the Elemental Circles, magical bands facilitating energy exchange with other planes. Where these circles intersect, ancient temples dedicated to Fire, Earth, Water, or Air were built. The Ashur frequented these sites for rituals, teachings, or to amplify their power. These temples, scattered across the world, hail from an age without borders or kingdoms, from a time when wandering groups pondered the luminance of stars and the melting of stone.
