Those of you who supported us at the precise moment of the 15th March got access to six months worth of Beneos Tokens - a token of gratitude (pun fully intended) for your continued support!

Today marks the day when we will send out the links - using those you'll be able to claim your Tokens!

To get started, all you really need to do is to follow the guide - it's also available in German. Bitte sehr! https://youtu.be/nFi9BULI44U

To get you into the mood, we're going to have a look at a handful of those creatures!

Now - let's get cracking!

The Shattermaw

Shattermaws are colossal bad-tempered monstrosities clad in nearly impenetrable osteodermic armor, consisting of bone knobs, plates and spine-like outgrows.
Their diet consists of everything unlucky enough to wander in front of its eponymous maw, supplemented by anything barely resembling actual prey - including mossy logs, mid-sized boulders or small vehicles.

The Shattermaw is a perfect encounter to defy some expectations and set the mood for coming challenges. What appears to be a slow and sturdy giant turtle turns out to act more like a shark that got hold of a tank.

The Necrovolt Reanimator

The Necrovolt Reanimators are a conclave of deranged scientists who discovered the abyssal Netherstorm, a sentient tempest of howling souls, charged with cracking aether-lightning. Reanimators harness the Netherstorm’s boundless energy with their Necrovoltaic Generators, using it to power various nightmarish machines and undead constructs.

Necrovolt Reanimators are accompanied by Necrovolt Circuitslaves, which they supercharge with necrovoltaic abilities to unleash the devastating energies of the Netherstorm.

A Necrovolt Reanimator makes for a devastating and complex boss encounter, during which the whole map will be wreathed in lightning and if the characters survive, they won't think of thunderstorms as relaxing anymore.

The Aberrant Tyrant

Speaking of boss encounters - if you are here, you know what that is.

Due to the nature of the dreamlands beyond the veil, these nightmares are manifested, and the Tyrant is brought forth into the mundane world, where it promptly goes mad from the combined horrors of this experience and the utter contempt towards the vile inhabitants of this hellscape.

The Crazed Reaper

Incessant screaming heralds the approach of the Crazed Reaper, a towering monstrosity filled with apoplectic madness and massive scythes for hands.

It is to be assumed that these creatures did not come to be in a way even remotely considered natural, and any means of reproduction short of mitosis by sheer force of anger seems unlikely.

Due to the Reaper's Madness Table and unique capabilities, you are sure to catch your players off guard.

A fight against a Crazed Reaper (or a bunch of them, if your players really pissed you off this week) is a singular, disorienting and bloody experience.

The Crusader

Not all tokens have to be used as enemies enter the Crusader! Its stats are suited to act as both a vengeful opponent (perfect to accompany the Knight of Tragedy), but also as a devout ally! Its set of abilities is designed in a way that evokes the feeling of a Paladin, but simplified to not get bogged down in class details. Perfect, if your party needs some divine support.

Note that they are not good aligned - a heavily armed zealot backed by divine power is morally gray at best and should act accordingly.

The Magmatic Coreborn

The same goes for the Magmatic Coreborn. A wounded Magmatic Coreborn could be found surrounded by the ruins of a tribal village on a volcanic island, having protected its chosen people from a natural catastrophe or an attacking monster. Have your players travel alongside the weakened Elemental through inhospitable terrain like geysir-pocked landscapes or over obsidian bridges spanning subterranean magma lakes to either find a place of strong elemental magic to help the Coreborn recuperate or take on the creature responsible for the attack on the village together! Magmatic Coreborn are often  venerated as minor deities by their people, and having an effigy of molten rock owe you a favor certainly sounds not too bad!

A combat encounter should be more than players and GMs throwing dice at each other until one side caves. Our creatures are designed in a way that makes it easy to weave narrative threads into each combat encounter.

The best case scenario is that as you finish reading a creature's stat block, there's already the idea for a great encounter appearing in your head.

The Dragon

If you want to really flash your players, put a Dragon in your Dungeon. Nobody expects that.

And even if your players are used to fighting dragons, this one has a load of new abilities and legendary actions to catch even veteran dragonslayers by surprise.

The Mimic

If you want to hit the thematic home run, populate your dungeon with mimics! Our Mimics are a bit more aggressive than the regular ones, though, being able to swallow, dissolve and put players to sleep.

The Tokens are a journey through the past year - the Dragon was one of our first Tokens,  while the Aberrant Tyrant is a recent one. You can see how much the support of our Patrons enabled us to include more and more content like magic items, story prompts and tactic guides.
