Hey you Pen & Paper Fans out there. This week went faster than the Voyager in trans warp channels. I nearly finished my next map pack - another Vallaki approach! This week I will release the coffin makers shop in two different versions. One normal and one burning version. Why fire? I don't now what your Curse of Strahd groups are doing but in 3 of 4 groups I led to Vallaki the players ended up burning down the coffin makers shop.

Vallaki

I know - even two maps per pack are okay but I'd like to add more to this pack because we have still a lot to do. So I did 3 (Imho pretty awesome) Vallaki street maps in two different versions. One normal ordinary street view with burning blaze posters and festival preperations and three devasteted scenes with burning houses and dead bodies for the festival as well as the vampire spawn bone event. Even though I told you the second release will be smaller I ended up with 8 maps what brings me to an crazy amount of 23 released maps in total this month. This is extraordinary and please by the love of Strahd don't EXPECT THAT AMOUNT in the future!!!

Quality Update

As I told you last week I was able to create a good workflow to achieve the highest quality possible. Funny thing: Due to my optimisation the final file size will be even smaller with better quality :P The magic of skill *cough* The only downside is the final render times have tripled and my PC is not usable during render times so I am forced to render during night time. In combination with the amount of maps this is a real task for me in the future and needs good workflow.

Animated Tokens

Based on the results of the last (and second) poll we keep everything here as it is. No animated tokens and no landing pages. I plan to outsource my animated tokens to a seperate patreon in the near future - so stay tuned if you are interested in this.

The future of Beneos Battlemaps

I told you I do this all as a hobby. This changes more and more. Even though I have a very safe and lucrative job (I work as a Data Analyst at europes biggest telecommunication corp) I really start to love my work for the first time in life. That might sound crazy but If I would be able to make a living out of things we all love and that brings us together (online and offline) and helps us through this awfull time  I would start considering doin this as a full time job. Yes the current amount is still not enough to keep my (and my wifes) standard and I will never go full sell out buuuut now I will aim for it if nothing goes south... =) Let's see where the journey goes and give me feedback If I am crazy :P

Stay healthy

You're not crazy Ben, trust me. I changed career from high-end engineering to being a full-time professional Dungeon Master (yes! Dungeon Master of the RPG Dungeons & Dragons) and even during COVID where I had to shift everything online, it is the best job I've had in over 30 years.. and.. pays the bills to keep a house, wife, and two teenagers (one in college too) at a good standard. The world has changed, change with it ;-) Live the dream, you live once, no second chances.

Wow those words gives me a lot! Thank you for the feedback =) I also worked for several years as an engineer in the past!

I just downloaded all the content and I'm seeing the scenarios of yester hill and Vallaki in flames. My God how wonderful. I can't wait for my group to get to the hill, but Vallaki has to burn first ;) Congratulations again, each pack is better than the last. I look forward to the new releases for this month.
