Hey you P&P Fans out there,

We finally released the Yester Hill and now I will go for the Coffin Makera Shop to fix this lose end in vallaki. It should be ready pretty fast and will be a smaller pack (unlicke the last two giant releases). Please give me Feedback in the comments what map should come after. I still need to do the easy things like the old Bonegrinder and the Tser pool encampment. But what do you think?

1) WebM Files instead of .MP4

As you know all animated maps and sceneries are .mp4 files at the moment. The more modern variant is webm. It has similar quality, is optimized for internet usage and on top of that has a smaller file size. "So why don't you use webm files Ben?" you might ask. The answer is: It makes no difference for me. But webm has some compatibility issues with Microsoft Browser (Internet Explorer/Edge) and might have compatibility issues with virtual tabletop/software you use and I don't know. I attached two files in this post, one webm and the coresponding mp4. Please use the poll below if you can estimate webm would work on you end.

2) Animated Tokens and Animated Landing Pages - (Yes again that topic)

I got a significant amount of feedback via discord, youtube and PM that the last poll about animated tokens and animated landing pages were misleading. You don't know what I am talking about? Check this post with preview animations. To make everyone happy I started another poll below with more clear options. Mind: Tokens or Landing pages wont affect the release schedule of regular map packs!

Since not all patreons are active it is difficult to determine a representative amount of positive feedback for my decision making. From my point of view if at least 40-50% of all patreons give positive feedback via polls I consider doing it.

My table is running Foundry and I have to say the webm maps having a smaller file size typically helps things load a bit quicker for my players. I cannot say it has ever been a massive issue though. Both file formats just work. Drop in the map, good to go. Another thing to potentially consider is data caps from ISPs. I haven't hit this problem myself as my group is only playing once every other week, but I would imagine larger file sizes + more frequent sessions would push up data usage a good amount. Maybe someone with a group playing more often could chime in.

Fingers crossed for those animated tokens :) About which maps...just now I'm finishing the orphanage so the Coffin Shop is superb. From my selfishness I would like some scenes of the streets of vallaki on fire for the burning sun festival. But I trust your judgement and look forward to every release you make. Congratulations
