Ok, that question solicited a lot of responses! Thank you! :)

Here's the non-scientific analysis:

4 videos are preferred to 1.

Split-screen runs are generally disregarded but some people really like them.

Pre and post match analysis is essential.

So here's what I'll be doing going forward:

Stages will be individual videos with pre and post analysis, as always.

Split screen will be retained but will be LAST segment of the video, after our stage discussion and post analysis.   If you like it, it'll be right at the end.  If you don't care for it, just shut the video down post discussion.

This sounds like the best middle ground.

That'll work for me. Thank you for asking for our feedback.

Anonymous

Perfect! Thanks!

If you didn't do what I answered, why did you ask, lol. Sounds fine. I enjoy your content regardless of format. Just keep em coming.

Anonymous

Awesome. Im happy with this format :)

Anonymous

Sounds amazing, I've always been a huge fan of the two gun ACM matches, can't wait for the next ones.

Anonymous

Perfect solution, sounds great.

Anonymous

I can live with this, I'm just happy you guys solicited us.

Anonymous

Sounds like a great format to do it in, Thanks for keeping us in the loop Karl.

Anonymous

Was hoping for a single video, but oh well. I can keep doing how I've been doing. It's neat getting input anyway.

Brandon T

As always Karl, thanks for asking for our feedback and thank you for going with a fair and balanced take when, as we all know, "you can't satisfy everyone." Although I "got what I wanted" in this case, even if I hadn't I would have been confident that your (and Ian's, if he weren't out gallivanting around the world...) would have been logical and unbiased and I would have supported it wholeheartedly anyway. Keep up the good work! :D

Anonymous

Hm sounds like you might be able to make it within Minds max size of 1024 Mb

Anonymous

Please only let 2 days max between videos. Ideally a new part each day. It's hard to keep track of previous rounds if you spread them out.

Anonymous

Sounds like a good format. I didn't like the split screen at first, but seeing the little nuances was kind of cool. It really brings out the differences between you two. Karl is typically the better short, but Ian is fast and nimble.

Anonymous

Sounds good I've been loving the format you guys have been using but I do typically skip the split screen portion

Thomas Stancomb

Sounds great. I look forward to future videos.

TheOlsonOutfit

sounds like a good plan to me

Anonymous

Excellent!!! That is perfect.

Anonymous

Sounds like the best of all worlds. Keep up the great work! I look forward to seeing more videos soon.

Mike Hubler

Sounds fair. Tje only time i watch the side by side is when Ian whoops your butt.

Perfect.

Thanks for all the extra, non-fun effort.; who knew there would be so much production work. I'm old, so have a longer attention span, but will take your work in whatever format/time there is. Keep up the sense of humour and whimsey, it's gold.

Anonymous

Sounds like a good setup. I know I skipped the dual cam setup about 1/2 the time and went for the discussion.

Anonymous

Sounds good!

Anonymous

No split screen

Anonymous

When a question is asked how many minutes do we have to answer before you tally the results. I seem to answer a question on the same day it is asked only to find out that the results were tallied some time earlier.

Anonymous

Break it up. I watch your videos often in the morning over breakfast. Don't have time for a 45 min video and its a bi-ahch to try to find the same video again tomorrow, get back to where I left off and pick up again. Lotta wasted time. Also split screens are dumb.

Anonymous

Good Job sir.

Anonymous

Good solution, even though I missed the initial vote/discussion

Anonymous

Sounds good, thanks for asking.

"Pre and post match analysis is essential."

I am sure leaving a question open for less than 6 hours fails to give your patrons a fair shot at responding. I do not sit in front of a screen at all times. If it is worth asking the Question, it is worth allowing enough time for a substantially large portion of your patrons to see it and respond. I think 24 hours a good compromise for most questions.

Anonymous

^^^ This is why I watch InRange. There are lots of guys run'n'guning on YT.

👍 to this topic

I'm a big fan of the split screen, and think that the post-analysis "rehash" is an excellent solution [even best solution, regardless of whether or not some mentally challenged viewers don't find it worth watching!] ;-)

Anonymous

The perfect compromise

Anonymous

Good choice not a fan of the split screen but really enjoy the analysis.

Sounds great, personally I love the breakdowns and could listen to you guys ramble all day!

that seems like a very good solution. I do sometimes skip the split screen, but it can give excellent insight into what can cost time and how much. I have a couple times skipped straight TO the split screen; at times you can be in a different kind of watching mood for lack of a better word. When controlling the video is so easy these days it really is smart to give the viewer a bit of extra, especially if the format of the clips is set and predictable. It'd be nice if you held on for answers for more than a few hours. A day perhaps? Some get online maybe every other day, or sometimes you don't have time to make a thought out response on the spot. From this side of the screen, some of the questions posed to the audience have kinda flown by. I'm sure you get a plethora of responses almost instantly, by I hope you consider it nonetheless. Cheers.

I applaud this choice. Sometimes I'll sit back and watch the split screen, but often I'm rushing to catch up so I prefer just to skip to the post-analysis. Definitely think this re-work of the format should make most everyone happy.

Sound good to me Karl! Cheers!+
