First off, I fully understand that there were problems here with the person that the discussion was with, and I wasn't fully aware of that situation - that said, nothing in that video violated "community standards" - we discussed law, legal precedents set with ITAR and cryptography, and the idea of art versus controlled data...no manufacturing or how to manufacture was in this video whatsoever.

It is in moments like this that I am beyond thankful for people like you all here who keep InRangeTV alive.   Being proactively demonetized and being a truly alternative voice in this discussion space has been quite a difficult journey and it couldn't, literally, could not, be done without you.

This week's video will not be able to be published on YouTube, but I will link to it here from alternative sources.

Wow - sorry to see this happen.

You should reach out to Matt from the channel FuddBusters to talk about the topic of 3D printing guns he is a Florida based lawyer and would probably be one of the best informed people to convey information on the topic in a digestible manner.

The rules only apply the way they want them to apply. There are different standards for different content providers. I thought that it was a great discussion.

Tom R

Keep up the good work, Karl. I have stopped watching your videos on YouTube and only watch them on Utreon/Playeur/WhateveurTheyCallEetThisWeek now anyway --- won't even give YouTube the clicks they crave. You will continue to have my support.

Garden Variety Serpent

Bastards. Did they run out of books to burn so they're going after you now?

Quacktar the Unforgiven

I assume that there's both no appeal process, and that there's also no one that can give you additional information about what *specifically* violated their ToS? I suspect that the violation is, "reminded people that they can print their own gun parts and that it's 100% legal to do so".

You're name hear

I didn't know there was drama. Seemed like a good video.

Sean Smith

Good thing there is still all the videos on how to cook meth and other 100% federally illegal stuff. Cause Alphabet would never show favoritism or be lazy in their rules inforcement.

Anonymous

There is no appeal. The rules mean whatever they want them to mean this week. They won't tell you what the rules are because then you might not breach them, but just run up to the limit.

Faustus

Sorry, perhaps, but surprised? YouTube is a Censorship Cesspool.

Can I vent?!? This shit chaps my hide. Adam Savage on TESTED literally shows step by step how to manufacture a revolver, admittedly a non firing prop of the Hellboy revolver (but the concepts are exactly the same), and nothing happens. You do not show anything and this happens.

William Flowers

I’m sure some idiot at YouBube saw 0% Glock and assumed you can 3D print a fully semi automatic assault pistol for instant distribution… kinda like minute rice. That’s almost as dangerous as the knowledge to screw in a lightbulb or a suppressor.

Corey Allhands

That is literally the difference. He clearly stated it was a prop and it was. That is allowed. This doesn't excuse the fact that nothing was shown in the InRange video.

'General' Dipper

If one assumes that the information on printing guns cannot be Streisanded away, we have to ask where we want the discussions around printing to happen? Some random yahoos, or a sober responsible setting? A small-minded answer by Youtube.

Dennis McNamara

So, Karl. What is YOUR preferred platform for support? It is near the end of the month, so it is a convenient time to swtich.

InRangeTV

Patreon is the best *BY FAR* for me. It's dependable and consistent, and the way it handles subscriptions and finances makes it comfortable to do planning and see where I'm at.

Mustafa's Fleas

MFGD Dumbass jerkofft youtube dipshites!

Ove Toranger

Well, I'm on Rumble....(and following)....just saying

Anonymous

Me either, had no idea. I'm now curious what the drama concerned. I have no interest in reliving it, just curious.

Guido Schriewer

screw yt. rumble patreon player surplused a homepage.... daily motion..

How far we've come: 2000 A.D.: Google Corp: "Do no evil." 2020 A.D.: Alphabet (formerly Google) Corp: "We ARE Evil! (tm) [pats. pending]"

Bruce Brodnax

That's an excellent suggestion for a collab! Would enjoy hearing that conversation ...

Bruce Brodnax

If you're a big enough channel [ie, monetized with a following over 500k? subscribers] then they have an actual human you can contact about these issues. But that just gets you a *2nd* channel strike if they manually review it and decide it is still truth they want to suppress... (or so I've heard.)

Bruce Brodnax

OdySEE. Alphabet is creating their own barbarians to eventually sack Rome...

My channel got deleted again today. Apparently not being a homophobic, misogynistic, racist douchebag and calling out people who are is verboten. I live in TN so I’m used to it. And still not dead yet. It takes all of 10 minutes to make a new one and load my subs, but I’m thinking fuck YouTube. They can do without this old boy. I’ll keep up on Patreon and whatever Utreon calls itself this week. I still got you and Atun Shei and Stefan Milo and PreparedAirman and David Ian Howe and Chris Bartocci and Russell and Beau of the Fifth Column and FW. The rest can rest. Hope Musk and Zuck kill each other if Musk’s mom lets him. ☠️⚰️

Quacktar the Unforgiven

...But I still don't know what 'truth' They™ wanted to suppress. It seems nonsensical that they wouldn't tell you what the rules are beforehand, and then tell you exactly what you were doing wrong, because how can you otherwise make content that *doesn't* violate their policies? Yes yes yes, YouTube can choose to host or not host any content they want, because it's their platform, but they also rely on a steady stream of content being uploaded so that they can sell ads. If they keep striking content creators, then it should tend to reduce the amount and quality of what is uploaded, over time. But eh, what do I know.

Jeffrey Allan Beeler

You ever get the feeling you are being targetted by trolls or was this a bot generated strike?

InRangeTV

I think Defense Distributed and Cody Wilson attracted (understandably) a lot of negative attention - so some combination of both.

Infin1ty

What a bunch of fucking bitches.

InRangeTV

So I asked for an appeal. The appeal failed. I'm now tagging them on Twitter asking for another look, which the Twitter team said they'd do. Sigh.
