Pinal City was a mining camp from 1878 through 1891.  Very little of it remains, but there's still something to discuss.  Come with me for a tour of what once was, and what was left behind.

So did the ruts keep someone from easily taking a loaded wagon off road? In effect make a ghetto railroad.

I saw an InRange notification and wasn't much in the mood for firearms, but then noticed it was one of your history videos. AWESOME. I'm definitely in the mood for that. Thanks, Karl.

hell that looks dry! were there wild horses? know a cemetary of an BC ol mining town. reading through the dates miners didn't live too long. struck me that most died very young.

The holes in the middle of the road look like they would be good for levering a heavy cart forward or using some sort of ratcheting system. I hadn't heard of shipping heavy ingots to avoid theft. That is interesting.

Karl, Was the photo at 00:44 actually from Pinal City? Those look like the famous Borox Wagons. That looks like some distance from Death Valley where the borox mines were. It would be interesting to compare the track width to the borox wagons. Cool Stuff!
