it did rather exactly what it was made to do. the other stock looks a lot better though. it is SO brit stamped subgun type.... kind of great. ode to the sten....

Truth be told, it's possible you'd be able to get a Sten mag off a dead Nazi--they used captured Stens to some extent-- but much more likely you'd encounter an MP40 mag, and they are not, as I understand it, interchangeable. You'd think the Brits would have opted for MP40 mags, or ideally, Beretta 9mm mags, as they were well acquainted with both types. And the additional cost, if any, would have been minimal.

And that additional cost is why they would've rather thrown an 11 cent (Canadian!) Sten through a window than a 19 cent grenade.

That speedloader was genius ! And I'd have loved to shoot that Sten SMG, looked like a whole lotta fun !
