I'm excited to receive my WWSD rifle!

Hozi

Mud!

I know what I'm watching during my lunch break, now

The AR has certainly improved since the early 70's & I'm saying this as someone with years & years of experience of working with them on a daily basis. Looking at the WWSD lowers just might have to do a build.

ChristieMalry

thats pretty good in the mud, if only i could get one in this dumb ass country

James Moechnig

Thanks for including the cleanup! I was about to request it. I'm curious how difficult it has been for other Mud Test contenders, and whether you've observed any permanent changes. Scratches on moving parts? Surface rust? Damage to wood furniture on the ones that have it?

Matisse Enzer

That mud was loaded with microchips which will now be used to track the rifle!

Mud. Yea! One of the most stringent tests for any firearm. Happy to see it pass with 0 (zero) issues. Liked the cleanup method; spray it with a hose. Then open up and spray it some more!As soon as finances permit,

paul rapp

well that was unexpected. As soon as finances permit, I shall be adding a WWSD 2020 to my collection.

Love the WWSD. Built my own CDR (5.3# w/Holosun) 'cause I couldn't wait.

Can mud and dirt get into the inside of the stock though the sling attachment points?

Pokeroots

It baffles me that people somehow think that the AR platform will miraculously perform wildly different in the mud changing things that wouldn't really affect that part of the platform

I really enjoyed that garden hose gun cleaning ASMR at the end.

OK, I had no doubts concerning reliability... the real news here is that they're available for pre-order again, which was just the kind of encouragement I needed. Easy button status: pressed

Logan

Hate that I live in a commie state so I can’t buy one!!!

(Edited) Can confirm what Karl said. I looked inside the trapdoor buttplate on my KP-15 and there is a solid “box” enclosing the sling port on all sides. So no mud will get anywhere inside the lower.

Welly-welly-well. It passed with flying colors! Who'da thunk? 😛 Keep up the great work, InRange!

I think the most amount of permanent damage done from the mud test was ruining the wooden stock on Ian's Valmet AK. It broke when Ian had to mortar clear the rifle.

Adam Schindler

I wonder if a carbon barrel makes sense for one.

Nathan Kelleher

There was something cathartic about the hose down at the end. Surprisingly therapeutic, so double thanks?
