You guys don’t know how lucky you are in the USA in the uk owning pepper spray will get you prison time. I’m a uk gun owner which is a fairly unusual thing but self defence is never an acceptable reason under uk law to own a firearm.

FYI, as a New York City resident and a Holder of a NYC PD Pistol License ( for 40 years ) the State & City did what they always do. One Week after the Supreme Court Ruling, they ( the State Legislator & Gov. Hoclum ), passed a whole New Set of Laws to get around the Courts ruling. Which is to make it as Hard, Time Consuming and Expensive as possible to own a Firearm. As always they had a fancy new name for these new laws ( the Concealed Carry Improvement Act ) . This " new law " is even worst then what was in effect before the Courts decision. You can not now even if you have a carry permit, carry a firearm in any Park in the State, this includes the whole up state Adirondacks & Catskills Mountains system of Parks. Bring a firearm into any business unless there is a Sign at the entrance allowing it, carry a firearm in & around Times Square ( with out first stating what are the boundaries of Times Square are ) to name a few of it's provisions . The NYPD still requires me to provide them with " proof of my Date Of Birth " ever three years when I must renewal my License, along with a number of other stupid requirements ! They must believe that a person's Date Of Birth can change over time ! Out former Gov. Coumo did the same thing back in 2013 with his gun control set of laws " The Safe Act " . Don't you love the names !
