“Perfect… going to reduce that compound then,” Nicole scribbled a note in her notebook. “Something mo-“

Eris recognized the voice immediately, dropped her papers, and began erasing the formulas on the board as fast as she could. However, the door was flung open before she could get rid of them all. A strong looking man entered still with a guard hanging from his leg.

“Eris!” the man said as the guard stood up to restrain him. Eris's hand went up and the guard immediately stopped.

“David, what are you doing here?” Eris said as calmly as she could. She motioned to the guard that he could leave. With a glance at her assistant, she told her to leave them alone as well. The assistant just nodded and quickly left the office.

“Drink it…” David interrupted.

"W-what?" Eris said panicking. That mutagen was not the watered down version, it was very intense even for recreational use.

Eris gulped and looked at the mutagen. Thousands of calculations went through her head, if she drank it instead of injecting it into her veins, the effect would be weaker. She knew that she had to stay calm after the changes so as not to make the effect more powerful or last longer. After all, this might even help her understand the effects firsthand.

"So?" David said, snapping her out of her trance.

"OKAY! Okay, I will…” Eris said uncorking the vial and drinking every drop. She put the vial on the table and sighed trying to stay calm. She felt her heart race faster and faster, her body felt hot, and she began to feel throbbing everywhere in her body. She held her head and backed up until she fell onto the sofa. She refused to open her eyes as her body changed. She heard David's voice calling her name, his defiant attitude had changed to concern.

Eris felt like she was fading in and out of consciousness, only to regain it with heightened awareness seconds later. She tried to move, but her whole body felt strange. Finally, when everything seemed to calm down, she slowly opened her eyes. She saw nothing but absolute darkness.

"D-David!" she cried out, trying to move. She managed to kick the table next to her with her leg.

“Eris, calm down!” she heard David say. She felt his hands on her body quickly undressing her, removing her robe to reveal her now naked body. “W-Wow,” David said incredulously as he stood there, staring at her.
