The next morning I got ready with Eric to go with the group to the main square of Port Solei. Upon reaching the main hall of the hotel, the entire group was present. I saw Lily and Jessie in the distance. Lily exchanged glances with me and winked. Jessie just stared and nodded, she seemed cold, but that was the kindest thing she had done towards me since I met them.

Upon reaching the plaza, the tour guides explained the history of the area to us and then gave us thirty minutes to do whatever we pleased. Eric was talking to me, but my attention was on Lily and Jessie, who went to buy ice cream and sat on one of the park benches.

Eric sighed when he noticed I was not paying attention to him and shook my shoulder. "Let's go over there, I’m sure they’ll be glad to see you...," he said. Usually I would feel ashamed of my friend noticing about me looking at a girl like that, but I wanted to talk to them so much that I just nodded and started walking towards the bench. Jessie seemed distracted on her cell phone, but Lily immediately noticed us, waving a hand at us.

Upon reaching them, Jessie put her cell phone down to look at us and Lily started up the conversation.

"Hi guys, how have you been?" she said. Eric elbowed my side and walked over to Jessie, sitting at her side. It took him a few tries to catch Jessie’s attention but, in the end, I was ‘alone’ with Lily.

“We have been fine, just got here… I was so excited to see y-“ I immediately stopped and changed my words “to see the park you know, it looks great!” Lily smirked, picking up on my mistake and noticed how I was periodically checking on how Eric was doing with Jessie, and how they both smiled casually. Lily just laughed and snapped her fingers in front of me to catch my attention "Don't worry... you don't have to be jealous, Jessie likes you very much."

“Eh? No, I… I get along with you… wait, does she like me? It always feels like she doesn’t…” I asked nervously while she licks licked her ice cream.

"Believe me, the fact that she acts annoyed in front of you is because she likes you... otherwise she would be acting like that…” she said pointing at how she was smiling with Eric. “I know what she feels, I've known her since we were born," she said laughing as she brought the ice cream towards me, with a super cute smile.

"Do you want some? You are sweating a lot…," she asked. Ironically, my sweat came from my nerves of being in front of such cute mutant girls. My eyes dropped to the ice cream stick with her teeth marks on it. I did not know if it would be rude to reject that offer and this would be the closest I have come to touching her mouth so far.

"T-Thanks..." I said biting into the ice cream. She looked at me surprised, I guess she imagined that I would decline.

“It's so good! Thank y-“ I said but Jessie immediately interrupted me “Hey!! I bit that ice cream too! You're a pervert…” she looked to Lily who just chuckled. “You two are perverts!" Jessie said complaining and pouting.

"Guys… you should just find a room..." Eric said with a laugh. The three of us turned, looking at him, Jessie and me with annoyed expressions. "What?"

Lily and Jessie started to get up, for a second I saw their eyes looking at me, their expression was not annoyed at all and they seemed flushed and embarrassed. They slowly walked away following the tour group, one of their hands waved at me.

"Oh sorry Jim, I shouldn’t have said that..." Eric said worriedly. I just smiled watching them walk away "Don't worry… you've given Jessie the perfect excuse to get out of here..."

"If you say so my friend" he said patting my shoulder.

Two days passed, where I continued to have encounters with Lily and Jessie that ended in similar situations, with them fleeing the scene. However, each time I noticed Jessie becoming more and more relaxed with me.

Each night I chatted for a long time with Lily on our phones while Jessie was asleep. Until one night, Lily asked me if Jessie could also add me and chat with me. It seemed that she was beginning to trust me and I accepted without doubt.

I admit that replying to the messages of both was not easy at all. I did not want to prioritize any one in particular and cause jealousy in the other. Besides Jessie was not very talkative, each of her tender words had a lot more weight considering how her personality is.

There were two days left until the vacation ended. During the afternoon, I was talking to Lily via messages, as usual, until a message from Jessie took me by surprise.

“Jim, I was talking to Lily last night. I want to ask you something... Please don’t tell her about this, how much do you like Lily?" I immediately caught the trap in the question and replied, "As much as I like you too."

“I'm serious, don't be silly. Lily is a very sensitive and affectionate girl, I want to be sure that you really like her, I don't want her to get hurt.” she replied. I noticed the tension in her messages, so I began to respond more seriously "Jessie, I love you both, I love spending time with you and yes… I will take care of your sister as much as I will take care of you."

Within a few seconds, I received a message from both of them at the same time “Thank you Jim, for everything… would you like to come to our room tonight? We want to show you something!” I replied the same message to both. "Of course! I would love to!"

Around 10:00 pm, Eric went out for some drinks and I took the opportunity to write him a note explaining that I might not be sleeping in our room tonight. I knew he would understand.
