Hola a todos! We are Sophie and Lucy presenting our hometown Santa Fe located north of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. It is a medium-sized city of about 500,000, and the eighth most populous city in the country, covering an area of almost 270km², (about 166 square miles) and located between the Parana and Salado rivers.

A good way to describe Santa Fe is that it has the advantages of a big city without the disadvantages! There are all kinds of businesses and services, short and long distance public transport to anywhere in the city and out. Many visitors from neighboring cities come to study here so there is a wide variety of hotels and lodgings. However, it doesn’t have the pollution or overcrowding of a bigger city so it’s easy to drive through. Just stick to the main avenues and you won’t get stuck in traffic jams for hours.

Unfortunately, because it’s a smaller city mutants are much rarer and the ones that do live here tend to have mutations that easy to hide. If you have a unique body, be prepared to get stared at or even get pictures taken of you by bystanders. Despite that, people are usually receptive and warm, showing curiosity and admiration in the presence of the mutants.

Let’s talk commerce. Santa Fe is a port city. It has a large commercial that starts at the port and runs to the center of the city. There you can find all sorts of goods from Buenos Aires. There are even exclusive shops for mutants with reasonable prices and sales (we always buy our clothes there).

The port itself is decorated, accompanied by monuments and squares with a mix of modern and traditional architecture. You can even find some houses and buildings from colonial times, restored and preserved as a memory of our past.

A section of the port was remodeled years ago, becoming the main shopping center of the city. There’s a new theater, all kinds of businesses, hotels, and gyms. Next to it you can find the great casino, visited by tourists from all around and famous for the spa on its terrace, which has promotions for mutants (and offers manicures for those of us with more fingers than usual.)

Another interesting tourist point is the west waterfront that runs the entire length of the city, beautifully adorned and illuminated; it is a beautiful walk along the river. As you walk through it, you can see the famous illuminated suspension bridge, the signature of the city, the lighthouse, one of the largest universities in the city and our beloved observatory. All of this is right next to beautiful beaches along the river.

All the cities of this country are characterized by their soccer stadiums and Santa Fe is no exception, with the two largest, the Brigadier General Estanislao López and the 15 de Abril Stadium both connected by one of the main avenues. They are really worth visiting! These include a section for mutant spectators, with adaptable seats and of different sizes. They also charge a single entrance for conjoined mutants (lucky us!).

Now if what you are looking for is action, you should visit the city during its yearly events, like the TC 2000 races. The city has been adapted to have two intercity circuits and it becomes a crowded event where visitors from all over the country come to enjoy the races. We warn you that even if you do not go you will still be able to hear the roar of the engines from your hotels!

Feel free to visit the city whenever you want and if you are mutants please stop by the mutant headquarters in the mall. We have an important role there and we would love to meet more mutants from different countries, exchange experiences, and make some good new friends.

We await you with open arms! Hasta luego!
