I am always fascinated by how much work goes into backgrounds that some people could just miss by focusing on the characters once they are in the scene

Thanks, yeah I've been putting a significant amount of work into these—for something that most people will never look at. But I really like the overall impression that it gives in the context of the entire page. That happens a lot in art. It really makes a difference to include details that the average viewer might not even consciously notice, but they do notice something is missing if they're not there.
