University Exterior WIP (Patreon)

One of the things I've been working on this week is the university exterior background for the comic. There was some challenge with this one because Blender's Freestyle mode which does the outlining really doesn't get along with complex, intersecting geometry. There's still some missing or overlapping lines I need to clean up. I was also going to put some trees and bushes around the building, but the tree assets I have make it crash. x) So either I'll need to model some simple trees/bushes for that to work, or just draw them in by hand. But hey, I'm getting there~

Despite the challenges I'm still really happy with the overall production value this style of background has added to the comic. It has been quite a lot more work so far, but I'm hoping it'll pay off down the road when I can start re-using backgrounds.
