Hey everyone!

Even though my Patreon is on hold, I realized I can still post updates. So I figured why not show you what I've been working on in January.

The first pic is some architectural visualization I did for practice. I've been wanting to do arch viz for a long time, and I'm really glad I finally had time to just sit down and really get into it. It took like a week to do that one pic. x) I had to learn a bunch of tools from scratch, and it's a completely different way of working compared to what I'm used to. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out for my first time trying it. I'm planning to do more, and subsequent pics should go faster I think.

The next several pics are from a game jam myself and several friends did—Riz, Foolish and Hammy. We were making a hovertank type game and visually it ended up being sort of retro-futuristic looking. It was also my first time doing low-poly modeling which is fun, but also has a lot of its own challenges. I also modeled several props, and made that small arena with assets that Hammy created. We didn't quite finish the core gameplay loop, but we did get the tank moving and animated and shooting, and it was a good learning experience.

I've also been working on an updated VR avatar of Pulsar! My current one is based on someone else's model and design and I've had it for well over a year now... so I'm really excited about finally updating it with my own model. It still needs a few tweaks and quite a bit of work yet to get into VR, but you can see the progress there at least.

Finally I've been working on Vorecurious as well. I've got 5 pages left in the story, and so far this week I got 3 of them inked and flat colored and the other two are in various stages of inked and sketched. I think I can probably finish the entire comic up next week. I'll post a thing here when it's done so you can go pick up the whole thing off GumRoad.

So far my break from Patreon has been really rewarding! I've learned a lot and I feel a lot better since I've been able to take this time for personal development.

Man, things seem to be going so well for ya ~ it's inspiring to see you take on all these new challenges and learn new things. Your drive to create is astounding. I hope I can get to that level someday. ~

I would totally live in that house, if I could :D I'm glad you're feeling better and that the break has been beneficial. :>

Your 3D Work keeps getting better each time I see it! You think at some point it could be a medium you work in for an extended period?

pulsarbird

Thanks :> It's quite possible. I'm not necessarily planning for it to go that way right now, but you never know what'll happen.

Gotta say that I'd love to see more details of that house, home design is something I love, especially imagining how I'd set up different layouts to suit my needs. Great work!
