Just a quick update on the newly retopo'ed Pulsar head. The new version I finished today is the first pic. The old version is the second pic. I ended up just retopo'ing over the old retopo which worked perfectly well. I'd made some small adjustments from the original sculpt, so that let me keep the updated shape while hugely simplifying the geometry.

It seems like a small thing, but I'm SO MUCH HAPPIER with the new version. It took all day, but I really took my time to make sure things flowed in ways that made sense. And areas that I need to add detail to like around the eyes and beak, I can do without creating additional edge loops extending down the neck, so it'll correctly connect with the body. (Assuming I also keep the body's edge loop connection at 16 verts, which I should be able to do.)

There is one weirdly flowing edge loop around the eye that flows down the beak instead of across it. But I'm pretty sure I can correct that one. And it's only one! Not like my older attempts at retopologizing which are mostly just huge messes.

It's been a ton of work but I'm slowly getting a little bit better at retopo'ing every time I do it. Should make doing more characters in the future a lot faster, and hopefully with better results for animation.

Now to re-do the body...
