I fucking LOVE this episode SO MUCH! We get to see Josh’s acting chops here with Eugene’s wild arc & I was blown away by how much he’s grown as an actor & character these last few years! This episode was divisive when it aired but I think people came around to it after a little while. My favorite Eugene episode thus far for sure! I get the hatred for everything behind the commonwealth & the elites, but I feel having Eugene, Connie, Kelly, Rosita & Mercer being in the positions they are could allow them to try and get to the bottom of the corruption & I believe that would be valiant. I never believe we were supposed to absolutely love this place or accept the lies, it’s doing exactly what you said it is, it’s designed to piss us off so the hopeful payoff is monumental!

Same point of view. I hate commonwealth storyline. It so boring comparising to Negan, Governer and Alpha

Jack's World

See I find it monumentally more entertaining than the Governor. The Governor is absolutely PAINFUL to watch because of the horrid forced storyline with Andrea in there that was never meant to be. It's one I avoid rewatching if I can tbh. I love David as the Governor, but any scene involving andrea there just soils it for me. It's so basic lol. But the Commonwealth, despite the criticisms people have about it, has a TON of complex storylines woven throughout it that make it more than worth it!
