Long Weekend It's Labor Day weekend and most of the men are sending their wives away for a few days. Don Draper's wife Betty is dreading the thought, as her father and his new girlfriend, whom she detests, will be staying with them.

Just in case you missed it in Dons story since he hit us with a lot fast. Not only was Dons mother a prostitute and his father a John who got stuck with the baby, but his father was a nasty drunk who died leaving his wife and her new husband to raise the baby so the “parents” who raised Don had no connection to him whatsoever. Kinda explains to a point why Don isn’t a great family man. Cooper is probably in my top 3 characters on this show. His message to Joan actually had a few layers as I heard it. One, that she could do better than that guy that night, Two, she could do better than Roger’s mistress and Three she doesn’t need to be looking for a rich older husband, she has the talent to make her own success.
