"Magic fingers" was a device that were a common feature in US motel rooms back in the 1960s-1990s. It attached to the box spring of a bed and you could put money in to turn on a motor and it would make the bed vibrate. By the time the show was filmed, they were very out of fashion and associated with motels in poor, backwater towns.
