I have no idea of where this was going to go with fictionized versions of the actors who are married to each other. Did Hap download into Jason Issacs and OA into Brit? First words out of her mouth when she regains consciousness- I want a divorce. The second season had some interesting bits but too far out for me.

Yeah I suspected maybe you might still be a bit confused. The rose window is a portal into the universe where Scott had his NDE in part 1 from the universe in Part 2 - presumably which is the reason he managed to learn his part of the movement, who knows maybe he saw it on TV or something, who's to say. It's complicated but not. HAP has done what Prairie did with Nina, he's integrated that universe's Jason Isaacs into himself - he might be able to read who he is but he wouldn't be able to instantly have the accent; that's the indicator they give you to know this. Presumably from this point OA is like Homer in part 2 where she thinks she's Brit Marling and nobody would be able to convince her otherwise - she's an actress playing the OA but no she isn't actually *the* OA - maybe even specifically because of the head injury, and anybody who tells her no really, you're the OA, is going to look like a complete nut. Karim Washington is played by Kingsley Ben-Adir who is a British actor, the FBI agent guy we've seen a few times is played by Riz Ahmed a British actor, Patrick Gibson who plays Steve is an Irish actor - and there's a few more; you can easily see how these people could all come together in the UK making a TV show just as easily as in the US. It's definitely fair to say this show is weird, and it's intentionally confusing and I think both of those things put off a lot of people who would enjoy it and in Netflix's defence make it incredibly difficult to market. I suspect we haven't seen the last of OA, for one thing the cancellation talk has been quite equivocal, for another there are other mediums where she could pop up - I just love how Brit Marling's brain works and I can't wait to see what her and Zal Batmanglij do next. I'd also like to hear the story of how Brad Pitt got involved in the production of the show. I think this episode does in a weird sort of way tie things up but it also leaves you wanting more - oh, yeah, it was created as a five part story to answer your other question, with a fixed end point. The short version of my theory where I think this would have ultimately gone in part 5 is that it would have ended in our actual universe.. Some people jumped to the conclusion that the one at the end was our universe, there's a long list of reasons why that isn't the case, but it's one obviously very similar, but I think by the end we may have got to that point..
