Odd quesstion for you. But how different was making this animated compare to animating Lester from the Akumi Series? With all his Mult weapon systems?

It’s really different just because of the two different programs used. I animated Lester in Flash which is a free form of animation. I draw the frames. Spine, on the other hand, works more like 3D program. Gotta build the bones and the constraints. Then move it like a puppet. There’s also turning parts of the art into a mesh, which allows it to morph and bend. What you see with the tentacles, legs and ears.
