Hello, all, thank you for taking the time to read this.

I had to face some hard truths about my time, stress levels and mental health. I have recently made a push here on my Patreon, and I have bitten off way more than I can chew; so much so, in fact, that my life outside the community has suffered.

I won’t get into the nitty gritty of it, but the take away is this: I need to change the scope of what I am doing here, for the moment, to a less commercial-based outlet.

As a friend of mine put it, recenter: focus on doing the work you love.

When said that way, it comes off a little selfish, and in a way it is, but the choices I have are to continue as I am going (which will lead to burn out and a breakdown) or to shutter completely (in which case you won’t see my work again, probably for months).

Anyway, effective immediately, I will be cancelling the Amora’s Cube promotion, and the Final Fantasy Image pack promotion. I have already contacted all people who have been given commissions; those clients will be given the choice of a refund in full (or cancelling the commission, if they would like) or completing the commission in some other capacity (with the same scope as far as art is concerned). Whatever their choice, any art produced will be posted here, and then publicly, following the same procedures as I have done in the past.

From there, I don’t know what you’re going to see from me. I had thought about suspending the Patreon, but I think I will still need to draw, still need to have feedback from you all. I think it will more likely be simple pinups like you saw before (the Supergirl / Batgirl, Zelda Inflation, He-Man bimbo, etc.). I really liked doing those, and you all seemed to have fun with it.

I am expecting many of you to decide to leave. I have no hard feelings toward you, and I appreciate you coming for the time you did. You’ll always have my thanks for your support.

I don’t expect this to be forever; I’d like to find the balance that allows me to do this, everything in my offline life, and allows me some free time as well. Until then, for those that stay (and for those who have supported me in the past) thank you so very much. This isn’t the end, just… me catching my breath.

Keep dreaming.

Understood completely, I’ll continue supporting you (as usual) as you’ll work your way outside from here. I have to get some long awaited break to balance the schedule in my head, in hopes of also balancing my introversion and extroversion halves. Wishing you the best of luck, and I’ll always be around! 😉

Take the time you need to recharge your batteries. We'll be here when you're ready.

Hey you do you man, no worries

No worries Gnome, personal health is far more important than our funny ideas. Just stay well, alright?

Seritaph

Understood! Hope you can find the balance you need.

TBH, I'm a little disappointed that I won't be getting my Amora's Cube commission made. But your mental health is far more important, so take your time.

Jay

Pursuing your own mental health is never selfish. I wish you all the best my friend, and I will always be here to see whatever art you choose to put forth. Stay safe and healthy! -Jay

I think I can understand what you're saying; it's unfortunate, but it sounds like this is necessary. Sending positive vibes; you do what you gotta do. :)

I completely understand where you're coming from. Last week I decided to take up a daily drawing challenge. I'd planned to do sketches, maybe some basic lineart. Instead I got so involved I was doing full colour, fully shaded illustrations almost every day on top of all my non-Art stuff. I'm still recovering and that was just seven days. So take your time, reassess, and hopefully come back with a plan that works for you. ^.^

We appreciate you reaching out, my opinion is that this kind of post makes me more likely to support a creative. The work - life balance is crucial, and widely ignored. I think people should also feel free to leave and it's good you make room for that, things will rebalance and settle out. :)

GuyBcaps

Completely understandable. Biting off more then you can chew can be a real eye opener (mixing those metaphors real good there, me) and its important to make sure you're actually enjoying what you're doing as to not stress yourself out. Good luck!

Take all the time you need. Mental health and social life are always first priority. No commission is worth risking friends or sanity. :) Also creating what one likes is more relaxing than to create stress from commission deadlines and the likes. I hope you find a balance between the two. And I will not be leaving any time soon.

As long as you make TF content I think most people don't really need context for it, so I'll keep supporting if that's what u keep on doing.

Do what works best for you dude, always enjoy seeing whatever you make so I'm just happy to support ya.

There’s no need to be sorry! I understand what’s it like, your health is way more important. Take time for yourself, recuperate, and you’ll be back in stronger than ever! As for the commission, i had something else in mind anyway, so i really don’t mind at all. I’d still like to throw money at you but I understand you need time for yourself so I’ll save it for another time. Thank you for letting me know! Best of luck, take care of yourself!
