I don't know if there's more too it, but the way the show is written has a very similar cadence and writing style to the book so my guess is it's just part of the way Neil and Pratchet wrote together.

They definitely love each other. Even if they won’t say it aloud. You can tell in their actions and the way they look at each other

Also, in Golgotha Crowley is presenting as a woman and I just love it so much

Don’t mind me commenting again but I just love this show so much. I just love the intro to this episode. Getting to see them through the ages and sort of see their relationship grow is just so fun. And all the different outfits! I just get so much joy from it lol

Yes, its definitely the writing style of the authors coming through. Terry Pratchet is one of my favorite authors, and he has this silly, whimsical, absurdist writing style that I feel like Good Omens captures really well in their script. But I agree, its very unique and hard to describe.

Pratchett's Discworld sits on the backs of Four Elephants which in turn stand on the back of a great Turtle. Because... well, why not? Great reaction again, my only upset is the fact you're now halfway through the first series. But that first half hour is amongst my favourite part of whole show. (But yes, young Shadwell is very easy on both the eye and the ear. I'm a sucker for a Scots accent myself.)

I LOVE Tennant look in 1941. That is all, just needed to share

The newspapers are special. Aziraphale paper is the "celestial observer" and Crowley's is "the infernal times"

The man you mentioned has written for Doctor Who is Mark Gattis, he is one of the creators of Sherlock with Benedict Cumbarbatch and Martin Freeman, totally recommend it, amazing show!
