I think we're finding out that them doing miracles together make them incredibly powerful and I hope they do something with that idea in season 3

In case it wasn't explained. And they do say it in the episode but I guess u missed it. Job was Gods favorite because he was so devoted. Satan bet God that if they basically ruined Jobs life and take away the good things than Job would turn away from God. God was like bet I'll prove Job stay loyal and let hell ruin his life including the death of his children.
