The reason thumbnails are so important, is because you aren't just doing it for yourself, you might be explaining to others what you're going to do.  And in this case, Xyk wasn't really feeling yesterday's thumbnails, so Dave tried a different version of the scene focusing more on the fight in a dramatic way.  Also we love the katana with the pistol handle soooo much.
