The officially licensed Dreamkeepers Card Game is coming.

It's been brewing behind the scenes for months now- after hundreds of hours of playtesting and meticulous development, we're ready to share some preliminary news.

Developed by Spencer Brower and Michael Crossen, it's a character-based battle game. Every player commands two characters, each with a unique deck and tactical style- making for a myriad of strategic combinations.

The table itself is split into three zones, giving dimension and variation to the gameplay.

Balancing and further refinement is underway- but an early 2017 Kickstarter is looking solid.

So to kick off our updates, what questions do you have? Hit us in the comments! Curious about character selection? Gameplay? Features, Kickstarter extras?

Share your questions and ideas. Stay tuned for more updates and contests as the game develops, and be sure to follow the game developers on their social media:

We'll also set up an outreach program to help us connect with your favorite game shop, so watch for news on that front as well.

Fun is in our future.

Now this sounds fun! For starters I'm sure a lot of us fans would like to know which heroes and villains will ideally go with the launch release and barring special abilities what stats are measured for each character gameplay-wise?

Hope you're ready for an earful (eyeful?) cuz I have plenty of say with my two main concerns. - 1: Art. Art may not be so important for people interested in high-tier play but plenty of casual and mid-tier player like to use cards that look good in addition to being good. So my question is "Will there be original artwork" and "Will there be multiple artist?" As beautiful as the Dreamkeepers saga is, copy-pasting art from the books to the cards is a boring and somewhat lazy approach. Although I can only guess as to how many people would be working on the cards so as boring as using preexisting material is it's extremely cost effective. If however there IS original art for every card I would hope there'd be multiple artists working on them. Not only to save David from having to design every single card when he's sure to have better things to do but to have varying art styles sprinkled into the Dreamkeepers universe. - 2: Expansions. I hope the card game would be successful enough to warrant expansions so my next question is whether or not is this a Dreamkeepers exclusive card game or if it would open the door to other Vivid works such as UberQuest. This would add more variety in both gameplay and art style. I can only hope the game would be compatible with multiple universes and the card back design hasn't been fully designed to be Dreamkeepers exclusive. In any case, I'm super excited to see a Dreamkeepers card game and to see the Namah deck as the most powerful set used in the game *nudge nudge wink wink*

I understand how it might be hard to do for the very first set. But my favorite part of card games is deck customization/building. Do you think that'll become an option in the future if this pulls through successfully?
