Volume 6 is coming to life- and Vivid is growing like never before.

Liz & I have a tradition after every graphic novel of reviewing and editing the overarching series storyline.  After this most recent story session- exciting pieces snapped into place, and we know we’ve done it.   The outline of the entire series has reached its final form.

From there, we dug into outlining Volume 6.  The 3rd draft has brought us to the point where we are now scripting dialogue, and sketching concept art for various scenes.

I love it when the storyline brings us closer to fresh Dreamworld lore- even something as simple as the springs in springer rifles.   How could such a material possibly function?

Having a mining facility for a setting opened a great opportunity to examine that question, understand this fictional material better, and establish what techniques would be needed to mine & process the raw ore.

Not that the story has plans to stop and drop all this in the form of exposition- but this way, the set pieces and props will tell a story of their own behind the action.

We are able to devote time to Dreamkeepers story now, because with your support and readership, Vivid is growing like never before.

Volume 5 fulfillment is well underway, with more packages shipping every day- and Vivid is about to deliver on the campaign for two new books, “The Institute” and “Cloudscratcher,” with “Bethellium” in the works as well.   (Campaign live on IndieGoGo.)

It’s exhilarating to see Vivid coming alive- more than just a vehicle for Dreamkeepers, now we’re able to help more original stories from incredible authors come to light, and see gorgeous physical book releases.

And not just books- 3D printed figurines as well!  We’re making toys like I would have dreamed of seeing as a kid.

Unpainted "Orgonovore" figurines, a creature design by Dave & Liz from the Alex Beyman horror anthology "Reports from The Institute."

Solid metal 'Abraxas' pins, another concept derived from Alex Beyman's "Reports from The Institute."

Vivid headquarters is now in the constant process of creating comics, working with various suppliers, shipping books, and refining details on new figurines and items.

And, fast approaching on the horizon-

Animation.

Vivid’s “Tectomic” is finally out of the production doldrums, and slated for a 2022 launch.  If all goes to plan, it’ll be the first ongoing animated series to come from Vivid.

We’re not quite ready to announce this publicly yet- but the first episode may be premiering at Couchcon 2022.

All of this creativity is made possible by you- Liz and I wanted to stop and say, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for letting us devote our time to creation.  I think it’s going to bring all of us some incredible experiences.

There are those who wanted to see Vivid fail- but through it all Liz & Ii just keep creating, because that is what we love to do.

Vanth 3D printed figurines still in testing, slated for a 2022 release.

Vivid is still a tiny team, and every reader makes a difference, helping us notch up quality here, or pull in an extra set of helping hands there, to speed things along.  So if you have a chance, it helps enormously to share Vivid work with people who might be interested in reading.  Bethellium, Dreamkeepers, Cloudscratcher- we’re committed to providing a constellation of free content, and we hope it brings you, and more people, into a universe of imagination.

Here’s to a Vivid 2022.  Thank you for making it possible.

Hey look! Its Ruskol mining town of Voltayd that we’ve seen in Faction War! 😃 Hopefully we’ll het to see the the banished camp of Tamarack from Goldenblood arc that will be reintroduced possibly in Vol. 7.

This is a COLOSSAL update from Vivid. Holy crap! I am pumped and ready to invest.

Dreamkeepers

Depends on which pic- if you're referring to the silhouette, it's one of the lead cast members from Tectomic. E ) Inspired by someone you may be familiar with.

Dreamkeepers

I do like Tamarack! The lore from those Faction War games will find its way into something- if not the GNS, then definitely a lore book or similar.

Dreamkeepers

She even stands on her own! We're doing final tests and figuring out when to do pre-orders- but bringing a bunch of campaigns in for a landing first. E )

Dreamkeepers

We can't make any concrete confirmations until the books solidify canon- but let's just say, I like drawing cannons. E D

I'm really looking forward to see this lore book coming to IndieGoGo anytime soon. Hell, I might go save up much as I can to back the highest tier possible. I wanna make sure I can offer the best support there is to your future projects.

You've got a lot going on! I hope I can afford one when you do, I originally wanted to print her myself because I was worried about cost and international shipping.
