Back in 2008-ish, I made a dimensional map of Anduruna using Dave's original map print.  Well, times have changed but wall decor hasn't.  It's time to make another dimensional map.  I really like how wood burning and layered ocean maps look, but at the end of the day, paper looks almost just as good.

The map shown takes about eight sheets of paper and a float frame, which is a picture frame that holds two sheets of glass for additional dimension.  Not required, but it helps, and we had one.  The image is about 25 inches long and 10 inches tall.  Ideally, paper those dimensions would be nice, but I did this using 8.5 by 11 sheets printed off the computer.  Glue gun isn't required but is the best glue for the job.

The secret to a really nice dimensional picture is simple: foam core strips that are carefully placed, plus a clear piece of plastic that says the name of the location printed on it for a little bit of shadow.  An optional piece is adding sheets of moss to the picture, used sparingly.  Paint the frame to match the wall, and you have your map.  We decided to forgo the LEDs on this one, rather than clutter the frame with battery packs.  I might add lights to Anduruna later, placing the battery switch behind the compass.

Hundreds of miles west of Anduruna outside Sky Road; there's so much we can learn about the particular geographic area that we need to know - what lies beyond Starfall Mountains. There's so much intel to gather from. So much to learn.
